Hate to poop on anybody`s parade but unfortunately every time a SPCA takes in pups they pretty much euthanize other ones to make room, yes this is factual.
Best thing to do is try to find homes for them without the help of SPCA, take out a 5-10 buck add in local paper, post on bulletin boards in town etc
This is my first hand experience.
Take to a no kill shelter.
I don’t know what the law or procedure is in Canada, but given the liberal animal loving environment there, perhaps they don’t have kill shelters.
The SPCA is not the only game in town. Lots of no kill shelters.

this is true, just it`s even better to take in to own hands, find people without counting on other shelters, find homes from people who would not have even normally gone to a shelter.
Just what my clan does, takes the heat off the already over run “shelters” plus keeps them out of cages etc

Funny in my neck of the woods, the libs all have pure bread dogs, they talk a good game though
The SPCAs in this area are no-kill. Can’t speak for others, but they don’t all euthanize just to make room.
Why take it to a paper(probably just a lib rag)? Go to Craigs list and offer them for free. You may ask for a small “rehoming fee” to keep it from going to someone using them for coyote bait. I use this all the time for kittens that I take care of and it works very well. Don't feed the enemy(lib papers).

very good! believe it or not we do something similar, we get a lot of dogs and cats dropped at our driveway.
We ask for 90 bucks if they can swing it, it pays the local vet to neuter/spay the dog/cat when it`s old enough if its a pup/kitten, that includes shots
if its a older dog/cat it is fixed first
then we have them sign a paper that the dog/cat has to sleep in the house at night, and for any reason does not work out they must return it...some scoff at it all, but most dont, and they get their deposit back
one paper takes the ad with a pic for free, I dont worry about their politics if the dog cat gets a good home
we get quite a few
