He’s facing several charges, including first-degree murder. The revelation that he has been in the U.S. illegally for at least 10 years is raising a lot of questions. “This is a huge problem. According to the arrest affidavit, Olivos-Gutierrez’s blood alcohol level was...

My order is inevitable for it is simply The Father's will concisely done in full view and commitment of My Witness that is My spirit in you . . . Acts 17:28 28 For in him we live and move and are! As one of your own poets says it, ‘We are the sons of God.’ John 14:12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. This week's cover story, "High-Rise Anxiety," looks into the uproar over redevelopment of the old St. Anthony Hospital site -- which is being welcomed by some residents as a long-awaited economic revival of the West Colfax business district, while others are concerned about the impact of the project on the Sloan's Lake neighborhood. But whatever side of the issue you're on, there's no denying that taking down the 130-year-old hospital complex -- nearly a million square feet of various structures, from various eras -- was one hell of a demolition job. A recent article in the trade journal Construction &...

A Woman Says He Broke Into Her Home, Did Something Very Creepy, Then Left (Also ... "Omaha" versus "You mad, bro?" Super Bowl XLVIII between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks is setting up to be a classic contest in which the surgical Peyton Manning will try to perhaps cap off his career and legacy against the brash--and best (ask Richard Sherman)--Seattle secondary that has smothered the league's best wide receivers all season long. Simply put, the league's top offense (Denver) will face the league's top defense (Seattle). Something has to give.

DENVER -- Peyton Manning had an answer for everyone. What's new? For Tom Brady. For the New England defense. For anyone who thought he couldn't win the big one. Manning is taking the Denver Broncos on a trip to New York for the Super Bowl after another of his impeccably crafted victories -- this time, a 26-16 win over the Patriots on Sunday in the AFC title game.

Game between Broncos and the mis-named Patriots, from leftist Boston, is about to start. Living in Colorado I will be rooting for Manning against reported liberal Brady. Just knowing that John F'n Kerry will be rooting for his "Patriots" makes me want the Broncos to win even more. Who are other FReeper football fans rooting for?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum, the man who traded for Tim Tebow, is now looking back on his career in New York. He's expressing some regrets, and guess who's right at the top? "Obviously we made a couple mistakes," Tannenbaum told CBS Sports Radio, "trading for Tim Tebow most notably." The Jets dealt a fourth- and sixth-round pick to Denver to get Tebow in March 2012, and then proceeded to use him in no discernibly logical fashion whatsoever.

The racial beatings are back in Denver. Just like last year, the year before and the two years before that. Then, like now, the alleged perpetrators are black. The victims are not. This time, however, police told anyone who wanted to know about the pattern of racial violence. And how at least one victim said he and friend were part of the “Knockout Game.” Some Denver media thought it was important to report the description. Others, however, followed the lead of the Denver Post, which said the attacks were “random” and refused to report the race of the alleged predators....

More media tricks… After thinking things over, the Denver Post decided to delete the fact that Arapahoe School shooter Kark Pierson was a committed socialist from their news report. This is from the original article: The gunman’s parents divorced in late 2011, according to court records. The divorce was finalized in August 2012. Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with the gunman, described him as a very opinionated Socialist. “He was exuberant I guess,” Conrad said. “A lot of people picked on him, but it didn’t seem to bother him.” And, here is the updated article, sans “socialist.” Pierson’s...
