Why are Democrats lucky? Well, first of all, they have their faithful minion, Robert Mueller, trying desperately to do what they were unable to do themselves, which would be to reverse the results of the last election. Granted, the ostensible excuse they have for loosing Mueller's "dogs of war" against President Trump is the search for a smoking gun to prove that Hillary Clinton's loss of the 2016 election was the result on her being ganged up on by Trump and the entire Russian Republic. Of course, during the energetic turning over of every rock looking for such proof, Mr....

I'm just not understanding: is it possible that the President is going to be impeached?

In his decision Friday to pardon a former Bush administration official convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice, President Trump telegraphed his open hostility to the criminal justice system and his desire to use the power of the presidency as a personal political tool. As with his controversial pardon last year of a former Arizona county sheriff, Joe Arpaio, who had been held in contempt of court, Trump effectively thumbed his nose at the judiciary by pardoning I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby. The Justice Department was not involved in either case, officials said.

Missouri state Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal, D-University City, blasted white Democrats on the Senate floor Tuesday, saying there’s “no difference” between them and members of the Republican Party. Chappelle-Nadal said Democratic Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill should add slavery reparations to the national Democratic platform as she says both parties have failed African-Americans, the Kansas City Star first reported. Chappelle-Nadal gained widespread notoriety last year for a Facebook post longing for President Donald Trump’s assassination and a later tweet comparing him to Adolf Hitler, but her comments this week honed in on members of her own party. "Neither one of them give...

Shortened title. Full title: Trump Attorney Uncovers New Unmasking Docs Showing Samantha Power Actively Worked With Media to Undermine Trump During Transition An attorney for Trump, Jay Sekulow and his senior counsel Carly Gammill appeared in a Washington D.C. federal court last week to find out when they will be receiving documents related to the Obama unmasking scandal. The ACLJ (American Center For Law and Justice) filed a FOIA lawsuit last summer and they are just now beginning to receive documents.

On Tuesday's 'Morning Joe' on MSNBC, Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine warned that Democrats would view any attempt by the president to fire Robert Mueller or signal plans to issue pardons "as the president pushing the nation into a constitutional crisis." (snip) BRZEZINSKI: So the president calls this a witch hunt. He says they didn't find anything. And he really was quite defensive yesterday about -- that this was a sad situation and he's not sure whether or not Mueller will be fired. Are you concerned that this investigation could be thwarted? KAINE: Yes. I think the president is clearly panicked....

We don’t always delve down to the level of state and local politics, but this rather curious story caught my attention this week. A Democratic state representative in New Hampshire, Katherine Rogers, has stepped over the line and dared to tread where most Granite State residents would never set foot. She’s not just pushing for tougher gun control laws, but suggesting that recent talk about repealing the Second Amendment is “a discussion we should have.” (New Hampshire Journal)

A Bay State college student gave U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s televised town hall-style forum the hook by standing up for her troupe’s performance of “Urinetown” that had already been booked for the same stage. Westfield State University President Ramon S. Torrecilha announced the MSNBC broadcast, set for Friday, is now called off after a social media campaign he criticized as costing the college a “missed opportunity.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced a tough crackdown on knives Sunday as the city reels from a spike in stabbings that have led its number of homicides to top New York City's for two straight months. He tweeted: “No excuses: there is never a reason to carry a knife. Anyone who does will be caught, and they will feel the full force of the law.” The tweet also included an action plan to boost police power and prevent future violenceLondon has seen more than 50 homicides already in 2018. Most of the city’s murder victims have been stabbed to death,...

Democratic candidates for Michigan’s 11th Congressional district were cheered at a crowded town hall at a Library in Novi, Michigan on Saturday for embracing gun control reform measures as a part of their campaign. There were several of the so-called “Town Hall for Our Lives” events in Michigan, and dozens around the nation this weekend; continuing the heightened calls for gun control measures in the wake of February’s Parkland, Florida school shooting. "The leaders of this movement are students, are kids. They're fighting back where our elected officials have failed," said Democratic Candidate Dan Haberman. "The technique they're using is...

Looking to buy a home in Sacramento, Calif.? Well, if you support President Donald Trump, at least one homeowner reportedly says she doesn't want to sell her home to you. The homeowner made the condition clear to her Realtor, Elizabeth Weintraub, according to Sacramento's KOVR-TV. Weintraub relayed the woman’s request to the station, noting it could be difficult to screen potential buyers based on politics. "We can ask somebody how they voted, but they don't have to tell us," she said.

There’s breaking news coming out of San Antonio, Texas tonight where a formerly powerful Democrat, Attorney Mark Benavides, has been found guilty on six individual counts of human trafficking in a grotesque and sex-filled criminal conspiracy. Mark Benavides, a well-known Democrat who ran for the 186th District Court in 2014, was accused by federal law enforcement of trading his legal services as an attorney for sex from his clients and then recording those manipulative sex-romps, according to local ABC affiliate KSAT 12 in San Antonio. The clients of Benavides were all criminals such as prostitutes and drug addicts, all of...

Facebook's chief operating officer, Sheryl Sandberg, publicly admitted that "our company's invasion of our clients' privacy probably rates a score of 10 out of 10 for being as complete a betrayal as possible." Despite this colossal failure, Sandberg insisted that CEO Mark "Zuckerberg's public apology ought to be penance enough. Look, we're with the good guys. We allowed President Obama to use our massive data to get reelected in 2012. Obviously, in hindsight, the Cambridge Analytica deal was a mistake." "In our defense, the amount of data we sold to Cambridge Analytica was tiny compared to what we freely gave...

As of now, according to the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee is in debt to the tune of $6,271,605.47. For the period between 2017-2018, total individual contributions to the DNC were $61,939,222.68, and its total cash on hand is $10,093,347.47. That is not good news for the party trying to rally momentum for a big “blue wave” this November.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) hasn’t lost his ability to make Democrats mad, and once again, he has triggered an intraparty kerfuffle on social media. As we head towards the next presidential cycle, many people — on the right, the left and in the media — will be saying Democrats are in the throes of an identity crisis, a struggle for their party’s soul that will tear them apart. But they aren’t, and they won’t be. The Democratic Party screws up plenty and contains its share of idiots, but when it comes to its identity, it’s doing just fine. On Wednesday,...

Democrats Want To Decide What Is Real or Fake News Sen. Richard Pan (D-Sacramento) is the author of the “Online False Information Act,” a new bill that would require anyone who posts any news on the Internet to verify all information through “fact-checkers.” Sen. Pan does not name who these “fact checkers” are, but I’m sure the State of California will create a new agency of state workers to oversee this.

AKRON, Ohio — President Trump’s recent spate of tariffs are popular among his working-class supporters here. But his aggressive trade moves could help put a key Senate seat out of reach for his fellow Republicans, undermining the GOP’s fight to keep control of Congress in November. Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown is running for reelection partly by touting his support for the president’s aggressive trade strategy and trumpeting his longtime opposition to the North American Free Trade Agreement and other trade deals Trump rails against. That’s largely a boon in Ohio, where Trump won by 8 percentage points in 2016... “I’m working...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that Democrats would indeed repeal the GOP tax law if they are successful in retaking the House of Representatives this November during a town hall on Wednesday.

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn), deputy chairman of the Democratic National Committee, endorsed the concept of government paying a minimum income to all citizens regardless of whether they work or not. “A lot of things that people do don’t have a market value,” Ellison argued. “For example, as a Muslim, I am obligated to pray five times a day, go on a pilgrimage to Mecca, and wage jihad to spread the faith. As a member of Congress I have a generous salary and a small commitment of time I have to put in to earn this salary. Others aren’t so fortunate.”...

WASHINGTON – Former Democratic National Committee Interim Chairwoman Donna Brazile urged African-Americans to stop “giving up” their votes to Democrats without demanding an “agenda” from the party that “matches their needs,” describing their political power as “enormous.” Brazile said she had to stand up to her own party and say “hell no” after its leaders told her to “shut up.” “We have to stop giving up our votes. I have done just about everything in the Democratic Party but run for office – everything that they have asked me to do. I have done it. I have registered millions of...
