SACRAMENTO, Calif. – California, flush with cash from an expanding economy, would eventually spend $1 billion a year to provide health care to immigrants living in the state illegally under a proposal announced Wednesday by Democratic lawmakers. The proposal would eliminate legal residency requirements in California’s Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal, as the state has already done for young people up to age 19. It’s part of $4.3 billion in new spending proposed by Assemblyman Phil Ting, a San Francisco Democrat who leads the budget committee. While federal funds cover at least half – and as much 95 percent –...

Contrary to what the Washington Post claims, there is no “Democratic wave.” Even if there was one, the idea that Roy Moore’s loss in Alabama yesterday was indicative of anything resembling a wave is utterly ludicrous. More Americans are waking up to the reality that the Democratic Party doesn’t have their best interests in mind. This is why they’re losing membership almost as quickly as the Republicans. As more people become Independents or join the Libertarian, Green, or Federalist parties, it’s a signal that the Democrats are not rising or part of some wave. There is an anti-GOP wave. In...

David Bossie responds to New York Times article. Video at link House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, in a recently published profile of President Trump, gave a stinging criticism of the president’s early months in office, suggesting his “lack of knowledge" for the job was tantamount to somebody without a medical degree “being asked to perform brain surgery.” “The bigger problem, the thing people need to understand, is that he was utterly unprepared for this,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a New York Times story published this weekend about Trump’s daily routine. “It would be like you or me going into a...

resident Trump may have thrown his support to GOP Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, but another Republican, Arizona Sen. He wrote a $100 check to Moore's opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, and tweeted a photo, with a simple caption, "Country over Party." The Arizona senator has also tweeted, "Just to be clear. If the choice is between Roy Moore and a Democrat, I would run to the polling place to vote for the Democrat." After the Washington Post reported that several women...

Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), who is embroiled in a sexual misconduct scandal, is hospitalized in his home state due to stress, according to two local reports on Thursday. "I just spoke with Monica Conyers on the phone and we want you to know that the congressman is resting comfortably in an area hospital. He's doing OK, as well as he can be expected for a gentleman that's approaching 90 years of age," Sam Riddle, a Conyers consultant, told WDIV TV. "The congressman's health is not what it should be and lot of that is directly attributable to this media assault."

Rimbert is accused of submitting "forged and altered" documents to insurance firms in order to get wage reimbursement and disability payments for days she was purportedly out of work after two vehicle accidents, prosecutors said.

The current GOP tax plan sitting in front of Congress has problems. If a true-blue lifelong conservative tax cut evangelist like me is not sold 110 percent, something is very wrong. I’m a Ronald Reagan-Barry Goldwater-Jack Kemp conservative. I’ve been preaching tax cuts since third grade. Until now, I’ve never in my life met a tax cut I didn’t support! My goals are simple- more power and money to the people that earned it (taxpayers and business owners) and less money for the greedy, wasteful government. That’s why it pains me to say the current GOP tax plan is not...

Once you embrace the progressive premise that the ends justify the means the destruction of civilization follows on quickly.First you have the feminist’s opinion that it doesn’t matter if men are falsely accused of sexual abuse as long as it helps dismantle “the patriarchy” – as if patriarchy is a real thing in 21st Century America, home of the fatherless family. Next thing you know the NYTimes posits that it’s okay to sexualize children for the cause of genderqueer. A New Jersey animal shelter’s annual pet blessings has prompted a federal lawsuit by a group called American Atheists Inc. of Cranford. The Bergen County Animal Shelter is accused of violating the First and 14th amendments of the U.S. Constitution over two events held in 2016 and 2017. Each event featured a member of the Franciscan Order of the Divine Mercy in North Arlington. Plaintiffs say that animal blessings at the facility are tantamount to an endorsement of religion. They seek an injunction to stop the annual event, and legal fees.
