I woke up this morning to find the Queen telling me to care for the Climate, and the front page of The Australian declaring that the liberals faced oblivion if they did not pass this legislation.
Oblivion? Because the Liberals saved us from being defrauded?
It’s as if the editor of The Australian has not noticed their own articles about the climate science scandal known as ClimateGate. There is no way this story is going to fade away. The fuse is ignited, and people everywhere are burning with anger and spreading the word. There is already polished, popular satirical songs on You-Tube (see below) and t-shirts printed with “Hide the decline”.
I’ve put in this video here even though I’ve linked to it before, because this is so relevant to the question of voter polls. This mocking slam-dunk is just the beginning. With this kind of material doing the rounds, how can ClimateGate be ignored? More »

November 28, 2009
Anti-capitalism protesters have brought havoc to central Geneva during a demonstration against the World Trade Organisation.
They burned cars and faced up to riot police in a zone near the central bus station of the Swiss town.
They also smashed the windows of shops, bank and cafés.
The violent protesters were a fringe minority on an otherwise peaceful march of some 2000 people ahead of a three day conference of the World Trade Organisation which starts on Monday.
They accuse the WTO of not doing enough to tackle climate change, claiming it is a mouthpiece for the interests of multinational corporations.
Notice how ‘global warming’ is this year’s excuse to wreck things.
Of course the Warmers are no different from these people. Just a little less energetic.
But their goals are the same.
Needless to say, none of this has anything to do with the weather.
And everything to do with destroying capitalism.
Obama is using it against the wealthiest Americans first. Remember berating the CEO’s for flying to DC in their “private jets”? And Bank CEO’s making too much money? And, Barry ever-the-a-hole gained ground by making them take money which gave him leverage to further control and manipulate them. They became lackeys.
Again, as a reminder, Barry is an angry little boy. He is just smart enough to cause enough problems to do enough damage to really hurt this nation and he’s doing it on purpose. A tantrum. Hitler had a similar tantrum, as did Mussolini. I don’t think it will result in mass murders but once the anger of the public is unleashed, who knows..."

In following some links and googling around this climategate issue, I stumbled upon something from 2007 that sounded alarm bells at the time. Melanie Phillips, in her usual astute way, saw something terribly amiss:
Fast forward to November 2009. The Tyndall center is affiliated with the CRU at the University of East Anglia of climategate fame. While Hulme wasn’t directly involved in Jones’ scientific activities, he was involved in the related policy matters. So here is the original Al-Guardian piece by Hulme. In it we have this:
This he refers to as “post-normal science”. Without getting in to a long drawn out philosophical discussion, what he’s arguing is that the world has become too dangerous a place to allow science as Galileo understood it to be the way we determine truth. He’s arguing for a “new” science, where political considerations influence what we determine to be the “truth”. He is arguing for a return to the pre-Galilean paradigm, where dogma was truth, and upstarts who disagreed were dangerous. This shouldn’t be that surprising when you consider that post-modernism in other academic disciplines amounts to essentially the same thing. What intellectual wonders have been done by multiculturalism and radical feminism and race theory and queer theory and so on should not be denied to science. Thus western ethnocentric rationalism must be purged from science, as well. Dead white men and all that. Phillips was right to sound the alarm bells. Too bad it took another two and a half years before we could all see concretely what this all really meant. That’s what a lot of people are saying about climategate. The signs of something awry have been there for years. It’s also too bad that certain imbeciles at certain blogs support this intellectual travesty, and are so delusional that they think they’re standing up for the values of rationalism by…fighting those pernicious creationists. Dude. Look who’s under the covers with you once in a while. K? And God help us if the central idea behind “post-normal science” infects the field of law. In a sense, we already have some of that in the form of judicial activism. But if you’re standing trial for something you didn’t do, do you want the jury to be told that they need to consider the gravity of the crime in determining whether or not you’re guilty?
