On the Mockery of Satan Msgr. Charles Pope • December 18, 2017 • One of the common themes in demonology is the way Satan engages in the mockery of holy things. Most widely known are the Satanic “black masses.” Satanic mockery is also widely on display on Halloween, when the eve of all hallows (all saints) becomes a parade of the ghoulish, ugly, violent, unchaste, or just plain evil. Recently costume makers have mocked women religious by promoting costumes depicting pregnant nuns or religious habits altered to promote unchaste thoughts and depict religious life as lewd. No other religious...

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said opponents of the Republican tax reform plan did all they could to stop it and essentially conceded defeat before a vote scheduled for Tuesday. Sanders said on CBS’ “Face The Nation” there were too many forces opposing Democrats that they could not overcome. “We did everything that we could. But at the end of the day what you had is people like [Treasury Secretary Steven] Mnuchin, who is worth $300 to 400 million; the president of the United States, who is worth several billion dollars, as you mentioned; from four or five thousand lobbyists doing...

Contrary to what the Washington Post claims, there is no “Democratic wave.” Even if there was one, the idea that Roy Moore’s loss in Alabama yesterday was indicative of anything resembling a wave is utterly ludicrous. More Americans are waking up to the reality that the Democratic Party doesn’t have their best interests in mind. This is why they’re losing membership almost as quickly as the Republicans. As more people become Independents or join the Libertarian, Green, or Federalist parties, it’s a signal that the Democrats are not rising or part of some wave. There is an anti-GOP wave. In...

David Bossie responds to New York Times article. Video at link House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, in a recently published profile of President Trump, gave a stinging criticism of the president’s early months in office, suggesting his “lack of knowledge" for the job was tantamount to somebody without a medical degree “being asked to perform brain surgery.” “The bigger problem, the thing people need to understand, is that he was utterly unprepared for this,” Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a New York Times story published this weekend about Trump’s daily routine. “It would be like you or me going into a...

If the choice is between Roy Moore and a Democrat, I would run to the polling place to vote for the Democrat." After the Washington Post reported that several women...

The current GOP tax plan sitting in front of Congress has problems. If a true-blue lifelong conservative tax cut evangelist like me is not sold 110 percent, something is very wrong. I’m a Ronald Reagan-Barry Goldwater-Jack Kemp conservative. I’ve been preaching tax cuts since third grade. Until now, I’ve never in my life met a tax cut I didn’t support! My goals are simple- more power and money to the people that earned it (taxpayers and business owners) and less money for the greedy, wasteful government. That’s why it pains me to say the current GOP tax plan is not...

Once you embrace the progressive premise that the ends justify the means the destruction of civilization follows on quickly.First you have the feminist’s opinion that it doesn’t matter if men are falsely accused of sexual abuse as long as it helps dismantle “the patriarchy” – as if patriarchy is a real thing in 21st Century America, home of the fatherless family. Next thing you know the NYTimes posits that it’s okay to sexualize children for the cause of genderqueer. Meanwhile an Indiana University Healthcare system nurse believes that “white women raise terrorist, rapist, racist, killer sons” and thinks that they...
