Favorable views of the Democratic Party have dropped to their lowest mark in more than a quarter century of polling, according to new numbers from a CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Only 37% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Democrats, down from 44% in March of this year. A majority, 54%, have an unfavorable view, matching their highest mark in polls from CNN and SSRS, CNN/ORC and CNN/USA Today/Gallup stretching back to 1992. The rating includes low favorable ratings from some core Democratic groups, including nonwhites (48%) and people under 35 years old (33%).

A statement from his office says the 81-year-old Arizona Republican also was treated for "other normal and non-life-threatening side effects of cancer therapy." Sen. Rand Paul was assaulted at his home in Bowling Green, Kentucky by an irate neighbor while he was mowing his lawn on Friday afternoon, according to neighbors. Kentucky State Police have arrested the senator’s assailant, identified as Rene Boucher, 59, of Bowling Green for intentionally assaulting Paul at his home, causing minor injury, local law-enforcement officials confirmed to Fox News. On Monday morning, Special Counsel Robert Mueller officially issued the first charges in his ongoing investigation into the 2016 presidential election. ALBANY — Disgraced former Rep. Anthony Weiner will reportedly be spending his prison time at a federal medical center in northern Massachusetts. Weiner, who was sentenced in September to 21 months in prison, has been assigned to the Federal Medical Center, Devens, in Ayer, Massachusetts, City & State reported. The medical center, located about an hour’s drive northwest of Boston, is one of the few federal lockups that offer residential treatment programs for sex offenders, according to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons website.
