Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price was arrested today as a result of a 13-count indictment which claims the powerful Texas Democrat took $950,000 in bribes. Wiley's attorney, Billy Ravkind, confirmed that he was arrested early Friday morning and is in Federal custody. The indictment indicates Wiley received the bribes in the form of cash, cars and property and that he and his political operatives used the ill-gotten gains to commit tax and mail fraud. For the full indictment, please access the following link. The indictment charges that, among other things, Price and his accomplices used his office and stature...

Vanity: It should be the policy goals of every elected Republican official (in the whole nation) to overturn/repeal every political and policy of the Obama Administration on EVERY issue! Not really a message, than a declaratory statement. Just wanted to REMIND everyone that WE DO NOT need to compromise with the Obama Administration in ANY way. We do not need to acquiesce to the idea that "this is the way it is" (in regard) to the "change" that Obama has instituted in this great nation. WE NEED TO REVERSE each and EVERY ONE of his actions, on EVERY ISSUE and...

American Jews overwhelmingly tend to vote Democrat for one simple reason: they see the choice as being between 1) the Democrats and their belief in nothing versus 2) the Republicans and their beliefs based on their Christian faith and heritage. Given that choice, then, rather than side with people of faith – which they see as a different and potentially antagonistic belief system – they feel safer in the party that is devoid of any values or convictions. The “thinking” behind this is that, if people believe in things then they might fight for those things. They might even commit...

There was more to James Garner than just his acting and racing careers. The beloved actor, who died July 19 (read about his career, life and death in this related Inquisitr article) left behind a legacy of political activism. Like the vast majority of the people in the TV and movie industries, James Garner was a staunch, lifelong Democrat. That’s hardly unusual — according to this article in Suite, Hollywood gives five times more money to Democrats than to Republicans. But where many Hollywood Democrats like to talk the talk, Garner walked the walk — sometimes literally. On August 28,...

The contrast between the two women couldn't be sharper. Hillary is the ultimate political insider, taking $20 million from Wall Street, including $5 million from Goldman Sachs. In two recent speeches to Goldman -- at $200,000 a pop -- Hillary spoke about why big banks shouldn't be blamed for the financial crisis. "We're all in this together," she reportedly told them. Hillary's political campaigns have been financed by Wall Street. Her family foundation is underwritten by banks, corporations and foreign governments. Even as secretary of state, she aggressively lobbied for major U.S. corporations -- like Boeing -- to get lucrative...

by Gina Cassini | Top Right NewsIn October 2008, she made an emotional statement that quickly became iconic in the presidential race -- both to Obama's swooning fans and his lambasting critics. Peggy Joseph said this, minutes after an Obama speech in Sarasota, Florida, just days before the election...

by Brian Hayes | Top Right NewsAccording to one Democrat Congressman from, of all places, Texas - America doesn't have a border security problem, despite the bum rush of hundreds of thousands of illegals from Central America this year.Nope. The way to solve this influx is to hand them asylum in their home countries, before they even cross our border.Um, what?Yep, you heard right. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) visited CNN’s “State of the Nation” and uttered his little bit of crazy for a national audience.WATCH:

RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) - A Democrat running for Congress in conservative central Washington on Saturday removed an online campaign video that showed him blasting an elephant-shaped piñata with a shotgun. The Tri-City Herald reported that the advertisement for Estakio Beltran generated a lot of criticism after it was posted last week, including from a group founded by former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, the Arizona Democrat who survived a gunshot wound to the head in 2011. "Mr. Beltran's ad showing him shooting a stuffed elephant - the longtime symbol of the Republican Party - is irresponsible and offensive," said the statement from...

I read this at NRO: Senate Democrats’ Religious-Freedom Deprivation BillUnder the guise of “protect[ing] women’s health from corporate interference,” the bill that Senate Democrats are proposing in response to the Hobby Lobby ruling would deprive religious entities of all religious-liberty protections against having the HHS mandate directly imposed on them. Specifically:1. The bill would apply to employers generally, not just (as the bill’s short title would suggest) to “corporate” employers. Subsection 4(a) would make it unlawful for any “employer that establishes or maintains a group health plan for its employees” to “deny coverage of a specific health care item or...

Mike Dickinson, the Virginia liberal Democrat seeking the House seat currently held by Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., despite not being on the ballot, offered a $100,000 reward for nude photos and videos of Kendall Jones, the 19-year-old Texas Tech cheerleader who recently made news with a series of hunting photos on her Facebook page.

The latest bombshell email revelation from former top IRS official Lois Lerner shows her actively trying to hide information from Congress just days after learning of the Investigator General report on the IRS targeting of the Tea Party and conservative groups. Lerner stated that she had been “cautioning” fellow IRS employees to be “cautious about what we say in emails” because “Congress has asked for emails”. She was also concerned with hiding information shared through an IRS internal messaging system known as OCS, previously unknown to congressional investigators and others. She asked another employee if “OCS conversations were also searchable.”

New regulations of pet breeders go into effect; governor previously vetoed abortion center licensing ST. PAUL — A measure to license and inspect commercial dog and cat breeders—passed by the Legislature and signed into law by Gov. Mark Dayton earlier this year—went into effect on July 1. The new regulations throw into sharp relief Dayton's refusal to accept any state licensing or inspection of abortion facilities, which perform thousands of surgical procedures on Minnesota women each year. "Gov. Dayton wants to safeguard the well-being of pets, and that is admirable," said Scott Fischbach, Executive Director of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for...

Gloreatha "Glo" Scurry-Smith, who is running in the Florida GOP primary to take on Rep. Corrine Brown (D) in November, recently experienced a very disturbing case of racial discrimination. On Sunday, Smith tweeted a picture of a vandalized campaign sign, in which her face was covered in white spray paint: See White Faced Black Candidate at the link.

Secretary of State Kris Kobach mockingly recommended that Republican primary challenger Scott Morgan alter his party affiliation before the deadline. "It's about truth in advertising," Kobach said. "If a candidate says he is a Republican, voters ought to be able to trust that he will take Republican positions on a majority of issues." (SNIP) "It makes as much sense to say he's a Republican as it would to say I'm a Democrat," said Kobach, who resides in Piper. "He's more liberal than the Democrat in this race."

Texas Democratic lawmaker used a racially tinged Spanish insult to describe the Republican Party during the state’s Democratic convention Friday. State Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer, D-San Antonio, left, leaves the U.S. Federal Courthouse, May 29, 2013, in San Antonio. (Eric Gay/AP) State Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer said at the Texas Democratic Convention that “GOP” stands for “gringos y otros pendejos,” the Houston Chronicle reported. The word “gringo” is sometimes used as a derogatory term to mean “white foreigner.” “Pendejo” can mean “asshole,” “fool” or “idiot.”

Since its birth in the 1920s with the first national radio networks, the modern MSM has always had a cozy relationship with power, and until the creation of Fox News, one channel on your TV dial or satellite guide, that power has almost exclusively meant their fellow Democrats. The media have long voted overwhelmingly Democrat in presidential elections; as Walter Cronkite once said at a Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner in the mid-1990s, in-between feting the Clintons on his yacht in Martha’s Vineyard, “Everybody knows that there’s a liberal, that there’s a heavy liberal persuasion among correspondents.” But in the...

Yesterday on FOX News Sunday Chris Wallace invited Washington superlawyer Cleta Mitchell and reptilian Democratic hack Julian Epstein to discuss the IRS scandals in the context of the “lost” IRS emails. More than one scandal inheres in the events, including Obama’s declaration of innocence regarding those involved; I therefore refer to the IRS scandals. The video of the FOX News Sunday segment is below and is worth a look if you haven’t seen it. At 2:30 in the segment Wallace displays a Missing Emails Timeline depicting a point made by Kim Strassel in her Wall Street Journal column of this...
