Paul Deen and her ridiculously pathetic brother Bubba Hier shuttered ‘Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House’ and included in employees’ severance checks, which were collected in the parking lot, was a message, “Thank you for 10 great years. Uncle Bubba’s is now closed.” So far so good, except employees that stood in the parking lot of the business that was the center of Deen’s racism scandal in 2013, were unaware the business was closing until they were greeted with that message of gratitude for their dedicated work.

**SNIP** According to court documents filed in Savannah, Ga., all claims against the TV chef have been dismissed in the suit brought by former restaurant manager Lisa Jackson, with no award of costs or fees to any party. Jackson had sued on the grounds that the work environment at Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House, owned by Deen and her brother, subjected employees to sexual harassment and racial discrimination. The news comes two weeks after a federal judge threw out the lawsuit's race discrimination claims, stating that though others may have faced that discrimination in the restaurant, Jackson could not...

(CNN) -- Some die-hard fans are getting all wrapped up in a campaign to defend Paula Deen. They're sending cleaned and origami-folded butter wrappers to Food Network and other companies that dropped the popular chef and cookbook author in the wake of allegations of racism and sexual harassment. Deen later admitted to "of course" using the n-word. The wrappers are intended as signs of protest -- physical declarations of "we're sticking with Paula." John Schmitt, a hotel night auditor in Indianapolis and the man behind the campaign, says he couldn't abide by the "betrayal" of Food Network, QVC and others....

Paula Deen occasionally used the N-word, we’ve recently learned. For this she was tarred and feathered, drawn and quartered, and fed to the ‘gators. Anthony Bourdain, on the other hand, headlined a propaganda junket to help secure the financial lifeline for the Stalinist regime that jailed and tortured the longest suffering black political prisoners in modern history. But Bourdain sniffs that: “She (Paula Deen) revels in unholy connections with evil corporations.” Going further, he denounces Paula Deen’s professional endeavors as “in excruciatingly bad taste.” Further still, Bourdain finds Paula Deen, “unconscionable, cynical, and greedy.” You’ve probably noticed whose side the...

Conservative Fox News commentator Todd Starnes said Saturday he was temporarily banned from Facebook over a post he wrote extolling the National Rifle Association, Chick-fil-A and Paula Deen. Conservative Commentator Says Facebook Blocked Him Over Politically Incorrect Post About the NRA, Paula Deen and Jesus “I’m about as politically incorrect as you can get,” Starnes wrote. “I’m wearing an NRA ball cap, eating a Chick-fil-A sandwich, reading a Paula Deen cookbook and sipping a 20-ounce sweet tea while sitting in my Cracker Barrel rocking chair with the Gather Vocal Band singing ‘Jesus Saves’ on the stereo and a Gideon’s Bible...

I am sure that it had to be hard for them. After all, it was clear that they were going to have to explain to their African American professor why going to Brixton was so uncomfortable. I had seen that look many times before. The search for the right words; the really right words that would convince both the teacher and their peers that their reactions were normal. I felt for them in that moment–knowing that they were facing a fear worse than being in Brixton–the fear of being perceived as a racist. They knew that if they said the...

Earlier this afternoon, we reported on how despite the controversy over her past use of racial epithets, celebrity cook Paula Deen is experiencing a surge in book sales on retailer Amazon. The sales spike was so strong that her newest book, Paula Deen’s New Testament, hit #1 on the site’s Best Seller list despite not being released until October. It turns out those huge pre-sale numbers are for naught. The book’s publisher has canceled its release. In a statement released Friday afternoon, Ballantine Books announced it has dropped Deen and will not publish Paula Deen’s New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes,...

There is politically correct bigotry and non-acceptable bigotry. Celebrity chef Paula Deen is a celebrity no more. She was fired from the Food Network for a racial slur, the N-word, which she uttered some time ago. She has since apologized for those hurtful remarks against African-Americans. Deen has begged for forgiveness. Nothing doing. Life will never be the same for Paula Deen. Life is much sweeter for celebrity author Alice Walker, who remains kosher despite remarks hurtful against the Jewish people. She has made no apologies. None necessary. Despite her festering grudge against Israel and her acrimony against Jewish people...

There is no doubt about it, the times, they have changed. The United States of America has an official new state religion and it is godless Secularism based upon the Humanist Manifesto (press here to read it). Godless Secularism elevates the human individual into a god and makes the worship of the individual the centerpiece as it shunts the common good to the periphery as well as forcing authentic religion and her true God into the private and personal never to influence the public. Paula Deen went on "Today" Wednesday morning to tearfully defend herself against allegations she is a racist, as her multimillion dollar food empire teetered on the brink of collapse. Recently fired by the Food Network, Smithfield Brands and Caesars Entertainment over her admission in a sworn deposition that she had once uttered the N-word, the emotional celebrity chef thanked the companies who have stood with her and lashed out at her critics. Just how much of a hole did Paula Deen dig for herself? With the Food Network's announcement that it would not be renewing its contract with the Paula's Home Cooking star, along with QVC distancing itself from the celebrity chef and Smithfield Foods cutting ties with her altogether after she admitted to past use of the N-word and other hurtful remarks, it would seem that Deen's culinary empire is currently up in flames. But her bank account isn't under as much fire as one might think. Sure, her ranking as Forbes' No. 4 highest-earning celeb chef is definitely at risk...but...

SAVANNAH, Ga. — The line of Paula Deen fans waiting for her restaurant here to open grew throughout the hot, muggy morning Saturday. They discussed what they might select from the buffet inside The Lady and Sons, her wildly popular restaurant in the heart of Savannah. But they also talked of boycotting the Food Network, which dropped their beloved TV chef on Friday after she awkwardly apologized for having used racial slurs and for considering a plantation-themed wedding for her brother, with well-dressed black male servants. The predicament that Ms. Deen finds herself in began when a former employee —...
