Just a reminder that for those of you with TV or cable, (and even if you have it), C-SPAN streams its 3 TV channels and radio channel on the Internet. I'm watching McCain's speech in New Mexico today. It's awesome and I would have missed it if not for C-SPAN online. GO MCCAIN!

Has anyone from Free Republic ever gotten through to C-Span. They are supposedly taking live calls via different phone numbers for McCain supporters, Obama supporters,and Independents. I have called repeatedly during both debates and when I get a ring through to the McCain line there is about a five second pause and then I get a hang up. When I dial the line for supporters of Obama I not only feel temporarily stupid I always get a busy signal. I think the call ins are fixed. Go Sarah. It's Drill Baby Drill Joe

As you know, I call Washington, DC everyday (every weekday) and I even started to do a radio show each Friday to share with folks the responses that I get. This week I called Senator Obama's office about the Global Poverty Act, and all 23 of the cosponsors- some of them 2 and 3 times. Well, on Thursday, my focus changed. On Wednesday, the House of Representatives held a vote on weather or not they would stay and debate the energy issue, or go on their scheduled vacations. Pelosi shut down the House. CSPAN turned off the cameras. The Democrats went on vacation without allowing a vote on offshore drilling. So the Republicans stayed, invited the American people into the People’s House, and blasted away on Friday night. Nice job fellas.
