According to a new report from Fox News correspondents Adam Housley and Malia Zimmerman, guards hired through a contractor by the State Department to protect the U.S. consulate in Benghazi were unvetted, local militia members who belonged to terrorist groups Al Qaeda and Ansar al-Sharia. An obscure private firm hired by the State Department over internal objections to protect U.S. diplomats in Benghazi just months before the American ambassador and three others were killed was staffed with hastily recruited locals with terror ties who helped carry out the attack, multiple sources told Fox News.

An Iowa Congressman claimed on Sunday that Republicans on Capitol Hill have copies of the 650,000 emails the FBI recovered from a computer belonging to Anthony Weiner. 'The good thing is, Congress has preserved them for our access,' Iowa Rep. Steve King said before a Donald Trump rally in Sioux City. 'So the Weiner leaks, the WikiLeaks, you name your leaks, we've got our hands on all of them – 650,000 emails.' King also suggested that the number of emails related to the FBI investigation may be larger than 650,000. CNN wants to move on from the recent scandal that revealed one of its paid contributors had shared questions from presidential forums in advance with Hillary Clinton's campaign. The network is declaring itself in the clear of any wrongdoing, though it is not addressing some key issues. "I can confirm we did an internal review," a high-ranking source at CNN told the Washington Examiner on Thursday. "The results are: Nobody at CNN did anything wrong."

On the same day Hillary Clinton swore to a judge that she believed all of her State Department emails had been turned over in a federal lawsuit, her private attorney wrote to the presidential candidate’s inner circle acknowledging the possible existence of additional messages that had not yet been produced, according to a leaked email message.... The Declaration under oath was a clear deception, as it didn’t reveal the concern Kendall had expressed about documents prior to March 18, 2009 that had not been produced. Whether it was perjury will depend on whether a prosecutor or court would accept the...

FBI agents' reports of interviews documenting that Hillary Clinton's stinging humiliation of her friend and mentor Vince Foster in front of White House aides triggered his suicide a week later are missing from where they should be filed at the National Archives, Daily Mail Online has learned exclusively. While the box contained dozens of FBI reports concerning Foster's death - including interviews with the medical examiner, U.S. Park Police officers, and White House aides about the contents of Foster's office - the reports on Hillary Clinton's role in his death were absent. This is not the first time documents related...

The Comey-Lynch confrontation unfolded on Thursday, some time after Comey was fully briefed on the existence of the trove of emails uncovered by agents investigating Anthony Weiner's sexting of a 15-year-old girl. Lynch made it known that she thought his decision violated department policy, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Monday. As Comey and Lynch aides debated last Thursday whether alerting Congress about the emails would comply with longstanding Justice Department policy against announcing overt investigative steps that would influence an upcoming election, Comey asked whether he was being explicitly directed not to do so. Lynch never...

(CNSNews.com) - "I think this was a terrible error in judgment by the director to release this kind of ambiguous letter," Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the ranking member of the House intelligence committee, told ABC's "This Week." "That kind of an ambiguity bomb this close to election was a terrible lapse in judgment," Schiff said. "The DOJ policies against making a statement about a pending or closed case -- and certainly not doing it in the days leading up to an investigation -- is there for a reason. It's designed to ensure fairness. "It's also designed to ensure that the...

According to reporting from The Wall Street Journal, the Clinton Foundation was under investigation earlier this year by the FBI, but that investigation was stymied and may have been shut down completely by the Justice Department. “Early this year, four FBI field offices—New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Little Rock, Ark.—were collecting information about the Clinton Foundation to see if there was evidence of financial crimes or influence-peddling, according to people familiar with the matter,” reports The Wall Street Journal. In addition, the FBI was actively probing former Clinton Foundation board member and current Governor of Virginia Terry McAuliffe, but...

This Wall Street Journal story is such a blockbuster in every way that arguably the most significant news comes in the 14th (!) paragraph: New details show that senior law-enforcement officials repeatedly voiced skepticism of the strength of the evidence in a bureau investigation of the Clinton Foundation, sought to condense what was at times a sprawling cross-country effort, and, according to some people familiar with the matter, told agents to limit their pursuit of the case. The probe of the foundation began more than a year ago to determine whether financial crimes or influence peddling occurred related to the...

James Comey's decision to revive the investigation of Hillary Clinton's email server and her handling of classified material came after he could no longer resist mounting pressure by mutinous agents in the FBI, including some of his top deputies, according to a source close to the embattled FBI director. 'The atmosphere at the FBI has been toxic ever since Jim announced last July that he wouldn't recommend an indictment against Hillary,' said the source, a close friend who has known Comey for nearly two decades, shares family outings with him, and accompanies him to Catholic mass every week. 'Some people,...

A restoration of the Clinton presidency would be a restoration of the national and moral chaos they invariably create. They can’t help themselves. They are corrupt and corrupters, the Typhoid Mary of politics. Whether by nature or nurture, they are programmed to ruin. Friends, allies, institutions — all are stained by their touch. And always, the Clintons blame somebody else. Now it’s FBI Director James Comey’s turn to embody their all-purpose bogeyman, the vast right-wing conspiracy. Somebody, sometimes everybody, is out to get them, unfairly of course. The victim card is a Clinton family heirloom, but there are major problems...

(CNN) Hillary Clinton's campaign is waging a full-out war on FBI Director James Comey in the final 10 days of the election. A day after Comey made the stunning announcement that the FBI is examining newly unveiled emails that appear to be "pertinent" to the now-closed investigation into Clinton's private server, top campaign officials unleashed a blistering attack on the FBI director, accusing him of being irresponsibly "light on facts" and "heavy on innuendo." On a conference call with reporters Saturday, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta accused Comey of failing to be "forthcoming with the facts." Podesta blasted both the...

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus accused the State Department on Wednesday of delaying its response to the National Archives’ request for information about why it has only found a few emails belonging to a staffer who helped maintain Hillary Clinton’s private server.  The RNC chairman even seemed to suggest the delay was part of an intentional effort to protect Clinton during the run up to the 2016 presidential election. Documents obtained by ABC News reportedly show the National Archives sent a request to the State Department in July that asked for an explanation about the lack of emails from Clinton’s top IT aide Bryan Pagliano. The...

Real Clear Politics posted an article about why WikiLeaks email attacks “fizzled.â€Writer Bill Scher downplayed the exposed machinations of the Clinton campaign, and even Hillary’s handsomely rewarded speeches before big banks and Wall Street. He explained how “WikiLeaks tried to take down a candidate with embarrassing private emails and failed.â€Scher wrote that the only thing “exposed†by the Podesta emails is the “grist of political life.†This is just the way things are. “It doesn’t make our politicians or our Democracy a sham,†he stated. In fact, if we were to uncover the emails from the Ted Cruz campaign, or some...

The U.S.Department of Justice, on behalf of the United States, filed a motion in court Friday to get the lawsuit filed by the parents of Benghazi victims dismissed. The parents filed the lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, but the DOJ is now involved because the plaintiffs are suing her based on her actions as Secretary of State during the September 11 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya. In the motion, Benjamin Mizer, with the DOJ’s civil division, said the plaintiffs hadn’t exhausted all of their administrative remedies before they filed a suit. On top of that, they claim the...
