Where do you predict our country to be in 5 years? In 10 years?

AGREED and AMEN! Thank you, Randy Miller from LinkedIn! The ONE WORD that REQUIRES Donald J Trump to Declare a National Emergency on the border if Congress failed to follow through on their own border bills which they have not done: TEXAS Texas has a Supreme Court right under federalism under Article 4 Section 4 of the US Constitution as well as by Congressional Treaty (1845 Joint Resolution of Annexation of the Republic of Texas to the United States of America) to counter sue the states that do not wish to defend the border. Clearly Texas has been invaded. Statistical...

That one state? Vermont. The same state that sent an avowed socialist to the U.S. Senate. So, really, we’re 0 for 50 as a country on basic civics. We can debate whether immigrants raise the crime rate but there’s no question that naturalized citizens are raising America’s baseline rate of awareness about its own history. You can test your own knowledge at the Woodrow Wilson Foundation’s tabulation page. (Says Drew McCoy, “The idea that an institute honoring Woodrow Wilson is teaching anyone about civics is the real civic disaster.â€) The closest I came to a “tricky†question was one which asked...

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D., N.Y.) on Friday suggested a future Democratic president could confiscate citizens' guns based on the precedent of President Donald Trump's national emergency announcement regarding the border wall. Nadler, the new chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, appeared on CNN's "Cuomo Prime Time" to discuss Trump's announcement earlier in the morning. Trump declared it "necessary" to build the wall on the southern border. Host Chris Cuomo asked Nadler if enough Republicans would come out against Trump, prompting him to say, "I think so" and that he believes Republicans are terrified of unintended consequences. He speculated about other...

(Feb. 13, 2019) — Last week, while referencing the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, formerly the Oversight & Government Reform Committee, The Post & Email noted that Chairman Elijah Cummings has invited the public to submit tips on “waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer dollars.” On Wednesday, we sent the following regarding the reported “computer-generated forgery” evidenced by a “long-form” birth certificate image posted on the White House website on April 27, 2011 after much public pressure from then-businessman and real estate mogul Donald Trump. To the public’s knowledge, neither the FBI nor Congress has launched an investigation into...

Full Header: So-Called Protector of the First Amendment Gets a T-Shirt Banned Because It's 'Offensive' to Journalists In the age of Trump, journalists have been repeatedly called out by the commander-in-chief as "fake news." After a barrage of corrections or full retractions on "breaking news" stories covering everything from the Russia investigation, smearing high school boys and border security, many in the media have roundly earned the label. But the leftist "defenders of Democracy," who parade under the guise of journalists, seem to only want First Amendment protections for themselves. After all, to them conservative media doesn't count and they...

Americans today are inclined to accept, without thinking much about it, the idea of judicial supremacy. We think that the federal courts—and especially the Supreme Court—have an extensive discretion to decide for us the big questions of public policy that come before the nation. After all, the Supreme Court has taken upon itself the authority to decide whether and to what extent abortion may be regulated, and, more recently, to decide the definition of marriage. Moreover, we think that that court’s decisions on such questions are final, that there is no way the people or their representatives can effectively assert...

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, said 2020 Democratic hopeful Beto O'Rourke has disqualified himself from becoming president by questioning whether the Constitution was still relevant. "Anybody who questions the validity of the Constitution — whether it works in the modern era — should never be president," Crenshaw said in a Washington Examiner interview. This week, O'Rourke, who has just vacated his Texas seat in the House of Representatives after an unsuccessful Senate bid, mused about the relevance of the Constitution. "I think that’s the question of the moment: Does this still work? Can an empire like ours ... still be managed...

A letter on God and the Constitution written by George Washington is up for sale after spending decades in a private collection. The letter to Richard Peters, speaker of the Pennsylvania Constitution, is signed Sept. 7, 1788, and praises God for the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. Written a week after Washington told Alexander Hamilton that he would likely accept calls to assume the presidency, the letter came at a time when the Constitution was under attack. Some states wanted to hold a second Convention that may have undermined the Constitution. “It would seem from the public Gazettes that the...

Is Kamala Harris Another Barack Obama? Monday, February 4, 2019 -- AND WILL THE MEDIA QUESTION THE CONFLICTING NARRATIVES? by Sharon Rondeau (Feb. 4, 2019) — On January 21, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) officially announced her intent to seek the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination in a much-anticipated television appearance following initial reports and speculation that she would run. As was the case with Barack Hussein Obama, the media has not questioned whether or not Harris is constitutionally eligible to hold the office.

Lucien Greaves, co-founder and chief spokesperson for The Satanic Temple, expressed fear that Republican Vice-President Mike Pence’s religious views unfairly favor good over evil. “Under our Constitution all religious views are protected from discriminatory laws and policies,” Greaves asserted. “Yet, we see the Vice-President of the United States repeatedly speaking out against evil, which is the core tenet of our faith.” “Worse, antipathy to our faith receives routine support from the brainwashed majority of Americans,” Greaves complained. “We are a minority in need of the protections from the hostility of the majority. We are pleased that the New York State...

This is the best chance a president has to reach [the American people], without his words being twisted beyond recognition by most who call themselves journalists. I have done my best during the last two years to Make America Great Again. But ... it is “my duty to [portray] things as they are ….” Today, our Union is more divided than at any time since before and during the Civil War. While a significant number of Americans enthusiastically support my efforts, a true account of the state of the union must recognize the existence of extremist resistance to American greatness....

“The American Constitution is an outdated, malfunctioning piece of junk,” wrote Ryan Cooper in a 2018 column for The Week. After the obligatory cheap shot at our Framers for their imaginary yet unforgiveable original sin of slavery, he launched into a tirade about a divided Washington in which elections generally do not produce functioning governments, meaning government responsive to passing popular whims. His remedy? Adopt the governing structure of “normal” countries, a parliamentary system. To counter what he calls the “right-wing fringe” in the House of Representatives, he proposes three reps from enlarged congressional districts. In this scheme, what I call...

Many of us have praised Pope Francis for his humbleness and for his tolerance toward victims of discrimination who had long been neglected by the Vatican, but it’s time to tell him loud and clear: Get out of Venezuela. The Vatican’s mediation effort in Venezuela has been — to use a word much in vogue in Washington these days — a disaster. It has legitimized that country’s authoritarian ruler Nicolás Maduro, throwing him a lifeline when millions of protesters were demanding his resignation on the streets in October 2016. And it has helped him get back on his feet by further...

While trekking the internet I came across this article from March 2018 by David Faris in the Washington Post about packing the Supreme Court: Democrats must consider court-packing when they regain power. It’s the only way to save democracy. I did a search and came up with the book he wrote, "It’s Time to Fight Dirty: How Democrats Can Build a Lasting Majority in American Politics: It’s Time to Fight Dirty How Democrats Can Build a Lasting Majority in American Politics The American electoral system is clearly falling apart—as evidenced by the 2016 presidential election. In It’s Time to Fight...

It’s disappointing that the Supreme Court failed Tuesday to grant the Trump administration’s appeal of a lower court order that prevents the president from ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. But it’s not the end of the story. Importantly, the high court didn’t reject the request filed by the Justice Department to allow President Trump to end DACA. The request is still pending. If the Supreme Court grants the Justice Department’s appeal of the lower court order between now and the end of June, the case to determine the fate of the DACA program will be heard...

“The Constitution has enemies, secret and professed. … They have hot heads and cold hearts. They are rash, reckless, and fierce for change, and with no affection for the existing institutions of their country. … Other enemies there are, more cool, and with more calculation. These have a deeper and more fixed and dangerous purpose. … There are those in the country, who profess, in their own words, even to hate the Constitution. … Friends of the Constitution must rally and unite … with immovable firmness, like a band of brothers … looking only to the great object set before...

A Lesson from History. Is Being a ‘Born Citizen’ (aka Born a Citizen) of the United States Sufficient Citizenship Status to be President? The Founders and Framers Emphatically Decided No It Was Not! One needs to be a ‘natural born Citizen’. Adjectives mean something, especially in our Constitution!

Isn’t this guy supposed to be the “centrist†in the race, the fake progressive trying to muscle in on Bernie’s turf?Or is that the point of this answer, to yank the left’s nobs by showing that his zeal for upending the American order is such that he’s willing to go full reboot to do it?I thought the worst we’d have to fear from these tools is 70 percent tax rates. Throughout the two-hour interview — which was often interrupted by bystanders urging him to run for president — O’Rourke boomeranged between a bright-eyed hope that the United States will...
