Just wanted to share this. For the first time since I have been a County Supervisor (Commissioner), an Administration really wants to hear from local governments. We (AZ County Supervisors) have been invited to a private meeting, at the White House, with top staff from several different agencies who actually want to know how we can work better together. It is unprecedented. And did I mention, IT’S AT THE FREAKING WHITE HOUSE!!!! I’ll report back tomorrow.

Just a quick personal-joy vanity. I have released my 9th book into the wild and I feel so blessed that I live in a country and time where I can pursue a career based on my ability to entertain people through my writing. Almost four years ago, I lost my job and started this new stage of my life by releasing my first novel. Since then, I have had a few very successful books and a few unsuccessful books, but I am exceptionally proud of my newest one. With each book I become a stronger writer and story-teller, and my...

Our family is very proud and excited about our son's early decision acceptance to Hillsdale College to attend in the fall of next year. He's also earned a nice academic merit scholarship that we desperately need. We'll figure out how to pay for the rest of it. Couldn't be prouder or more hopeful about his future.

Finally, after years of dreaming, we've finally moving from New Yorkistan to America (the outskirts of Atlanta, to be exactly)! I accepted the transfer offer today, for a position that I really wanted & I'm pretty sure I'm going to love. And to all the Georgia residents out there, I solemnly swear that we will not mess up your state. We're moving to Georgia because we like what it is, not because we want to change it. Having been raised in captivity, I'm thinking it may take us a while to adapt to the wild (AKA freedom). But I'm positive...

Today is my ten year anniversary at Free Republic. What a decade it's been, I didn't even have an internet connection when I first joined, and I was using the connection at work. Over the years I learned that if you need information on ANY subject, you will find someone here who can tell you what you need to know or find it for you. The diversity and depth of knowledge of the people here never ceases to amaze me. I remember being at a hotel one morning many years ago, and when I was getting breakfast in the lobby,...

I finally got a job, delivering and shuttling rent cars around. I haven't worked since April of '09. I hope that while I'm hanging around the "office" I can pick up on some of their operations to maybe advance to a better position. Pays minimum wage, and part time, but hey, I'm WORKING AGAIN! Wish me luck FReepers.

Tonight at 5PM I will be on Fox news with Glenn Beck! We will be discussing ACORN and the Working Families Party. What sparked this? ACORN and the WFP not only protested the NY State senate take over, they became violent inside the Senate bldg. People were injured, spit on and intimidated by these thugs. We will be discussing the real reason why this happened. The inside scoop! So tune in at 5PM as we go National! Rus Thompson http://TeaNewYork.com

Michelle Malkin was on Fox and Friends this morning discussing the Chrysler dealership closings and credited Joey Smith (Freeper smith5460) for his work in examining possible political reasons for the closings. Freeper smith5460 has created a blog to update us on his research: http://chryslerdealershipshutdown.blogspot.com His work was first picked up by Doug Ross and then RedState. It then went to Michelle Malkin and is now on Newsmax, and the Wall Street Journal among many many others.

The Iranian based Press Tv has invited me on at 1pm E.S.T. to debate the expiring of Obama's 120 days freeze on Gitmo Trials for suspected terrorists. As we all know during the campaigns Obama and his Democrat allies kept referring to Gitmo as an international Blackeye and his desire to close it, but what sounds good off the teleprompter does not sound in reality as Obama and his allies now face a backlash from voters, who don't want these suspects in their backyard awaiting trials in civilian courts and exposing out dangerous suspects to their mindset. In short it...

Thursday, January 22, 2009 It was a big first day in the White House for President Barack Obama, who announced a pay freeze for his staff, not to mention new (and stringent) restrictions on lobbying. Meanwhile, the new chief executive’s cabinet continued to take shape—Hillary Clinton overwhelmingly got the green light as the next Secretary of State, and Treasury Secretary hopeful Tim Geithner made it through his hearings with promises of confirmation. But not so fast, Eric Holder! The president’s choice for Attorney General will have to wait at least another week after Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee requested...

<p>What a great honor: on Jan. 14, Keith Olbermann named me runner-up to Glen Beck for "World's Worst of 2008."</p>
<p>Freepers, I'm deeply humbled by this great award, and I want to thank my publicist, my editor, my wife, and all you little people out there (just kidding, you little people).</p>

Heads up! I'll be appearing on the new "Hannity" show (used to be Hannity & Colmes) tonight to discuss the attempt by zero to replicate Lincoln's inaugural. Needless to say, I knew Abraham Lincoln, and Mr. Obama, you're no Abe Lincoln. Also, I'll be on "Fox and Friends" tomorrow morning at 7:40 am est. discussing more textbook bias.

US President George W. Bush late Tuesday telephoned his apparent successor, Democrat Barack Obama, to congratulate him on his "awesome night," according to White House spokeswoman Dana Perino. "Mr President-elect, congratulations to you. What an awesome night for you, your family and your supporters. Laura and I called to congratulate you and your good bride," she quoted Bush as telling Obama. "I promise to make this a smooth transition. You are about to go on one of the great journeys of life. Congratulations and go enjoy yourself," Bush told Obama, she said. The president also invited Obama and his family...

CML Studios Carlos Leon, 25 www.cmlstudios.net North Hollywood, Calif. Carlos Leon is a media mogul in the making. With $25,000 in savings, and no outside financing, he managed to expand the multimedia business he started in a room in his parent's mobile home into a full-service production company with such clients as Warner Bros., VH1, Sirius, and MTV3. Leon, who earned a bachelor's degree in film from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fla., says the business—which includes a 1,500 square-foot production studio that he built from scratch with help from friends. Up next: Leon is starting an online TV...

All, As things now stand, I'll be a guest in the NY studios for "Fox and Friends" Tues. morning, Sept. 10, in the 6:00 am to 7:00 am hour, discussing my new book, 48 Liberal Lies About American History. Later that day, I'll tape with Sean Hannity for his show, "Hannity's America," to appear on Sunday, 9/14. (I don't know the time). Finally, my booksigning and speech here in Dayton will be filmed by BOOK-TV/C-SPAN for a broadcast date later. The "Fox and Friends" crew is wonderful---I was on in 2006 for my previous book, and I'm looking forward to...

John McCain steps out of partisan politics to congratulate Barak Obama for his achievement on being the first African-American nominated by the DNC (or any party) for president of the United States on August 28th, 2008. After hearing all the negative, catty, petty, cheap shots from democrats today concerning McCain's choice for VP (Gov. Palin), which party has chosen the high road of bi-partisanship? Hint: It ain't the party with the donkey mascot!
