The world of Game Of Thrones is filled to the brim with evil, scheming psychopaths who think nothing of exacting the most unthinkably heinous punishments and persecutions upon enemies and strangers alike. That’s probably why the HBO series is so popular—it’s remarkably similar to the real world. Case in point: A few sinister maesters of technology have created an online service, Spoiled.io, that will, for just 99 cents, anonymously text show spoilers to anybody deserving (or undeserving) of a little distress. The surprise-ruining tidbits are dispersed throughout the world by automated Faceless Men immediately after the newest episode airs, and...

Submitted by Michael Shedlock via MishTalk.com, The EU is studying a proposal that would count robots as people for tax purposes. Although the proposal is deemed “too early” to implement just yet, rest assured once nannycrats get a bad idea in their heads, it never leaves. This provides yet another reason to vote in favor of Brexit. Please consider Europe’s Robots to Become ‘Electronic Persons’ Under Draft Plan. Europe’s growing army of robot workers could be classed as “electronic persons” and their owners liable to paying social security for them if the European Union adopts a draft plan to address...

The U.S. Navy is weighing whether to punish several officers and sailors for the botched mission that resulted in two boats inadvertently straying into Iranian waters, embarrassing Washington and handing Tehran a propaganda victory, Foreign Policy has learned.

Voters in the EU referendum are killing two birds with one stone today. Not only are they exercising their electoral right, but they exercising their pet pooches at the same time. However, unlike being able to take your own pen into the polling station, you're not able to take your dog inside. As a result, many pets have been snapped waiting patiently for their owners. Twitter users have taken to social media to document this (of course) and #dogsatpollingstations is now trending in the UK. We thought it was only right that we sum up some of our favourites:

Still being cheered on social media, the infants in the Democrat party are still supposedly on the floor of the House. A "sit in" is going on. May the backlash to this stunt be tremendous.

Sixty-nine years after their burning plane plunged to the ground after being shot down by the Germans, the remains of seven Lancaster Bomber crewmen have been recovered. They were discovered by a team of German historians who spent hours digging a muddy field near Frankfurt looking for the RAF crew after an eyewitness who saw the plane crash guided them to the site. Lancaster ED427 was one of 327 bombers that took part in a raid on the Skoda armaments works at Pilsen, Czechoslovakia. On their return to their base at RAF Fiskerton, Lincs, they came under fire from German...

The controversial 10-day dog meat festival in China is underway and Marc Ching isn’t going to stand by and watch. The American activist announced Tuesday that he rescued 1,000 dogs from slaughterhouses, while providing a slew of emotional videos from his findings at the annual event which takes place in Yulin, in southern China. Many of the the dogs are believed to have been pets that were stolen off the street. As many as 10,000 dogs are expected to be killed during the 10-day festival, according to The Associated Press. But Ching and Valarie Ianniello, who had traveled to Yulin...

So far, almost one million people have watched a video of a man in a Tricorne hat demonstrating how colonists made fried chicken in the 18th century. The recipe, first published in Nathan Bailey's 1736 cookbook, "Dictionarium Domesticum," utilizes quartered chicken, malt vinegar and green onions as a three-hour marinade, flour and white wine as a frying batter, and — if you really want to go authentic — lard or clarified butter as frying oil. "The tartness of the marinade contrasted to the sweetness of the batter really sets this dish off," costumed video host Jonathan Townsend says in the...

Demand for virtual reality is expected to surge in the years ahead. Research firm IDC expects that more than 110 million VR headsets will be sold in 2020, up from 9.6 million headsets in 2016. Investors looking to add exposure to the trend have a number of stocks to choose from, including both NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB). But while those companies may offer attractive upside, their shares certainly aren't cheap, trading for about 40- and 69-times trailing earnings, respectively. Those investors looking for more of a bargain might consider AMD (NASDAQ: AMD). The computing giant seems likely to play...

The NYPD is supporting gay pride with a new rainbow colored patrol vehicle. The SUV was apparently painted for the city’s gay pride parade Sunday in Manhattan and carries a message of support for Orlando in the wake of the country’s largest mass shooting incident earlier this month.

| The grave of a woman with a bizarre, long-headed skull has been unearthed in Korea. The woman was part of the ancient Silla culture, which ruled much of the Korean peninsula for nearly a millennium. Unlike some of the deformed, pointy skulls that have been found throughout the world in other ancient t graves, however, it is unlikely that this woman had her head deliberately flattened, the researchers said. The ancient Silla Kingdom reigned over part of the Korean Peninsula from 57 B.C. to A.D. 935, making it one of the longest-ruling royal dynasties. Many of Korea's modern-day cultural...

http://www.nationalreview.com/article/436966/donald-trump-republicans-dump-trump-withholding-donations A broke and embarrassing Trump campaign would be an easy loser in November. “There’s an old adage about a vat of wine standing next to a vat of sewage. Add a cup of wine to the sewage, and it is still sewage. But add a cup of sewage to the wine, and it is no longer wine but sewage. Is this what Donald Trump has done to our politics?” — Martha Bayles, in the Claremont Review of Books Read more at: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/436966/donald-trump-republicans-dump-trump-withholding-donations

Let's suppose that a white male entered a nightclub and - heaven forbid - shot the place up. Let's further suppose that the shooter fit the profile of a "redneck", and that during the shooting he made a phone call pledging his allegience to the KKK. Whould the media focus on the gun he used, or would they focus on something else?

Visibly distraught, Fresno police Chief Jerry Dyer vowed Wednesday to “do everything we can” to bring to justice the shooter who gunned down 20-month-old Rashad Halford Jr. in front of the toddler’s parents. “A tragedy occurred in our city last night,” said Dyer, who took several minutes to compose himself before addressing the media at police headquarters.
