President Trump may have pulled the most epic political trolling since, well since the last time he did something like this to a political opponent. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow was set to release a big scoop about Trump’s taxes Tuesday, when the White House went and released them right before her show began. Here was the announcement of the scoop that set the political world aflutter from Rachel Maddow’s Twitter account: (TWEET-AT-LINK) She later added the clarification explaining what she had in her possession, writing, “What we’ve got is from 2005… the President’s 1040 form… details to come tonight 9PM ET,...

The coffee drinker in the house, my husband, tried his Black Rifle coffee this morning and offered up his review. He says it's every bit as good as evil Starbucks, but smoother. In fact, he reports that the Black Rifle is 'incredibly smooth'. Four and one half stars.

I've never done this, so please forgive me if I've gotten it wrong. My brother, Michael, was hospitalized last week due to the recurrence of thyroid cancer. He was originally diagnosed and successfully treated about 9 years ago. Unfortunately the cancer has returned. It's inoperable due to being wrapped around his carotid artery. Today he had a serious episode of arterial bleeding and went into cardiac arrest. Had this occurred at home it would have been fatal. He's under sedation and in no pain. But what happens next is in the hands of the Almighty. My brother is a fine...
  • University removes weight scales from the gym because they’re ‘triggering’ students

First year student Samar El Faki provided some insight. She told The Charlatan, the university newspaper, that removing the scales was a good idea because it would accommodate students with eating disorders. “Scales are very triggering,” she said. “I think people are being insensitive because they simply don’t understand. They think eating disorders are a choice when they are actually a serious illness.”

Ashley Judd says she’s “very sad” and “scared” after a man who took her picture at a Kentucky basketball game Saturday dared to mention that he likes President Trump. Ms. Judd, who famously spoke out against the president during the post-inauguration Women’s March on Washington, wrote a Facebook post about the “uncomfortable and scary” situation Saturday during the semifinal between the Kentucky Wildcats and Alabama Crimson Tide at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The actress described “an older man with white hair” who approached her at her seat and asked to take a picture. “I said ‘Yes.’ And before I could...

AUSTIN—Chris Sacca showed up at South By Southwest (SXSW) in one of his cowboy shirts and with plenty of cowboy attitude. The Lowercase Capital investor and “Shark Tank” regular spent an hour in a Saturday-afternoon onstage interview holding forth—bluntly and often profanely—on issues ranging from his problems with President Donald Trump to Uber’s self-inflicted PR nightmare to what’s wrong with startup culture. Talking Trump Interviewer Alex Konrad of “Forbes” asked Sacca what keeps him up at night. After mentioning that he has a 1-year-old, a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old, he said, “I love my kids, but, yeah, they just keep...

United Technologies CEO Greg Hayes says that, since the election, an increase in consumer sentiment has reflected positively in the company's bottom line. "The current administration has reached out to business in a way the last administration has never done," Hayes told "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer on Friday. "I think getting a chance to go to the White House to have your voice heard is very, very important and I think the Trump administration is trying to do the right thing to bring jobs back to America, to grow the American economy and we're certainly supportive of all of...

Tales detailing the plight of America's disillusioned middle class and the realities of life in the rural United States are making their way to a TV near you. Sitcom writers are now grappling with how to best reflect the slice of the electorate that voted for Donald Trump, and delve into the deep cultural and political divides exposed during the 2016 presidential race, according to television and film experts. The television industry will likely start developing new shows based on this political reality later in the year or early next year, said Eric Deggans, an award-winning author and television critic...

If you watch activity on the floors of Congress you may be shocked by some of what you hear. With a slip of the tongue, Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) not only sought continued taxpayer funding for abortion provider Planned Parenthood, but also funding for the organization’s efforts in offering “STD tasting and treatment.” “It’s not about abortion, it’s about something different,” DeFazio said on the House Floor Tuesday. “ It’s about breast exams, pap smears, physical exams, STD tasting and treatment…” STD tasting and treatment? That certainly is “something different.” Thanks anyway, but I’ll take a pass on federally funding...

While his fellow party members are busy stonewalling the implementation of President Donald Trump’s agenda, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries used his time to eulogize rap artist Biggie Smalls, also known as The Notorious B.I.G ... Thursday marked the 20th anniversary that the rapper, born Christopher Wallace, was shot and killed in Los Angeles by another black male while Wallace was in his SUV at a traffic light. “Biggie Smalls, Frank White, the king of New York. He died 20 years ago today in a tragedy that occurred in Los Angeles. But his words live on forever,” the New York Democrat said...

Univision anchor Jorge Ramos believes he has found the explanation for the recent drop in illegal border crossings reported by immigration officials: fear or what he calls the “Trump effect.” In an interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN Thursday night, Ramos laid out his theory in detail. “Jorge, the massive drop in border apprehensions last month, the customs border protections says 40 percent, it’s down 40 percent, people trying to cross illegally. What do you make of that?” Cooper asked. “Is it possible that the tough talk on illegal immigration by Trump is working, that he deserves credit for that...

It seems like MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski thinks a female journalist’s place is behind the anchor desk and not flaunting her “long legs and short skirts” in front of viewers. The “Morning Joe” co-host ripped into the women on Fox News’s “Outnumbered” after the show’s co-host, Harris Faulkner, called Brzezinski “emotional” for her criticism of President Trump.

Solidarity struck home Wednesday as International Women’s Day was also dubbed "Day Without A Woman,” a general strike introduced by the organizers of the Women’s March on Washington. This action follows last month’s a Day Without Immigrants, where over 20 local businesses closed their storefronts. According to the organization’s website, women were encouraged to participate by taking the day off from both paid and unpaid work; refrain from shopping with exceptions made of purchases from small, women – and minority-owned businesses; in addition to wearing red in a show of support. As a self-employed business owner recovering from a recent...

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said Tuesday that he is still having a “hard time” saying “President Trump.” The host of “Hardball with Chris Matthews” made the admission during an interview with Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.). Matthews asked Swalwell about Trump’s allegation that former President Barack Obama wiretapped phones at Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign. “This president is no longer credible,” Swalwell replied, arguing that there is “no evidence” such wiretapping occurred and that Trump is seeking to distract from “questions” about his administration’s relationship with Russia. “Well, Trump is president of the United States,” Matthews said. “I have a hard...

UPDATE, 5:20 PM: Six months ago Hillary Clinton probably assumed she would be celebrating today’s International Women’s Day as America’s first female President of the United States. Well that didn’t happen, but now the ex-Secretary of State has taken to social media on A Day Without a Woman to spread a message that makes the fairly reticent, defeated candidate sound a lot like a leader in a resistance. “There’s a lot to fight for, Planned Parenthood, education, healthcare, jobs,” Clinton said this afternoon on the recently IPO’d Snapchat. “Every issue is a women’s issue. So stand up, resist, run for...
