Some 26 years after a bombing in Beirut killed 241 American Marines, sailors and soldiers, one community here in the east is still picked up the pieces. A 3-year-old boy died Wednesday after being attacked by a dog at Camp Lejeune, Onslow Memorial Hospital spokesman Tim Strickland confirmed. Church members in one city in the east got a bit of a surprise Sunday morning. Their church was literally given a piece of history. Sunday morning at the Protestant Chapel aboard Camp Lejeune, a historic copy of the Ten Commandments was donated to the base. It survived the holocaust; it also survived the past 200 years.
