I am overjoyed that they are home safe and sound, but what is the big deal about an extra 45 days? During the World Wars, men were gone for years.
Silly question, but what does 1/6 mean?
First Batallion, sixth Marines. Like a Navy squadron, I think.
I was forward for most of the time 1/6 was there and we always wondered if there was something in the water where they were because they kicked an inordinate amount of a$$ during this deployment.
That’s my son and daughter-in-law in the picture. It sure was great to have him home again!
Congratulations! Welcome Home
In Loving Memory and Honor of the courageous 1st Battalion 6th Marines that sacrificed their lives in the war on terror in Ramadi Iraq Sept 2006- April 2007.
