I am overjoyed that they are home safe and sound, but what is the big deal about an extra 45 days? During the World Wars, men were gone for years.

I was forward for most of the time 1/6 was there and we always wondered if there was something in the water where they were because they kicked an inordinate amount of a$$ during this deployment.

I floated several time with Sixth Marines in the 70's and 80's. Did the evacuation of the PLO and the initial Beruit landing with BLT 2/6.... Always loved doing CPX's With Combat Engineers one of the few times we got Hot Chow and Showers in the field,

That’s my son and daughter-in-law in the picture. It sure was great to have him home again!
