A Massachusetts bill that recommended teaching children as young as 12 about oral and anal sex failed in the state House last week amid growing public outrage. The College Fix reports state Senate Bill 2128 passed the state Senate but died in the House last week when the legislative session ended. The bill seemed harmless enough at first. It would have required public schools to provide “comprehensive” sex education that is medically accurate and age-appropriate. This included “the benefits of abstinence and delaying sexual activity” and “the effective use of contraceptives and barrier methods.” However, Andrew Beckwith, president of the...

The Los Angeles Police Department released surveillance footage Thursday of a taco truck robbery in the hopes that the public will be able to identify three suspects who robbed the truck's employees at gunpoint. In the video, three hooded men can be seen entering the food truck. One of them points a handgun at one of the workers, and then runs outside to force another worker back into the truck. The suspects then force the two employees to the ground, and one of the suspects can be seen striking a worker in the back of the head with his gun.

The Catastrophic Canard of Climate Change Our forests are now catastrophically overgrown, often carrying four times the number of trees the land can support. In this stressed and weakened condition, our forests are easy prey for drought, disease, pestilence and fire.—Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) The United States Forest Service was originally founded to protect forests from the ravages of fire to preserve it for future generations. That thinking was abandoned in favor of the flawed “no-use movement,” or the “rewilding” theory, which blames humans for the “degradation of our planet.” “Rewilding the land can repair damage we’ve caused and reconnect...

In San Francisco, there is an an 800-ton monument that retells California history, from the Spanish missions to American settlement. Several bronze sculptures and relief plaques depict American Indians, white miners, missionaries and settlers. A female figure symbolizing white culture stands atop a massive stone pillar. The design of the “pioneer monument” was celebrated in newspapers across the country when it was erected in 1894. Today, however, apctivists argue that the monument – particularly its depiction of a Spanish missionary and Mexican “vaquero,” or cowboy, towering over an American Indian – is demeaning to American Indians. Should the city take...

The shared work space in a suburban office park just across the street from the University of California Irvine bustles with young employees walking between glass-walled conference rooms with purpose. Some work for tech startups, like a virtual photo booth company. Others work for a gum ball machine distributor. And still others work for another new type of startup that Orange County hasn't seen in recent years: A serious and professionally run Democratic congressional campaign. For generations, Orange County has been the bastion of Western conservatism, the foundation on which Republicans such as Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Pete Wilson...

Office near CA Capitol is locked, unmarked and not open to the public. SACRAMENTO, — In California, long lines are a fact of life at Department of Motor Vehicles offices across the state, but for California lawmakers and their legislative staffers, there’s an alternative. KCRA has learned of a DMV office that is not open to the public. It’s located inside the Legislative Office Building on N Street, adjacent to the state Capitol. The office, inside Room 121, has no markings on the door and was locked when KCRA visited it on Thursday, but after knocking, a worker confirmed it...

There was no collusion between her and China via the PRC spy on her staff. And no Special Counsel is needed to investigate this. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along now. The first cousin of Fake News is Ignored News. Ignored News happens when the liberal media suppresses—in part or in full—a story that’s unfavorable to a Democrat politician, political operative, or politically active celebrity in the entertainment, educational or business venues. Ignored News has no competition because it’s, well, largely ignored. Or, if it’s distributed, it’s only “up” for a short time on a secondary news platform.

Ending a five-year moratorium, the Trump administration Wednesday took a first step toward opening 1.6 million acres of California public land to fracking and conventional oil drilling, triggering alarm bells among environmentalists. The U.S. Bureau of Land Management said it’s considering new oil and natural gas leases on BLM-managed lands in Fresno, San Luis Obispo and six other San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast counties. Meanwhile, activists in San Luis Obispo are pushing a ballot measure this fall to ban fracking and new oil exploration in the county. If BLM goes ahead with the plan, it would mark the first...

Hollywood hates Donald Trump so much it doesn’t consider him worth walking on. That’s fine, but how about a little less preening and lot more consistency? The West Hollywood City Council unanimously passed a resolution seeking to remove Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s a purely symbolic gesture, since the Walk of Fame is in the City of Los Angeles and is run by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. But the West Hollywood types weren’t going to let such details get in way of some good virtue signaling. The resolution cited Trump’s “disturbing treatment of women and...

There's nothing more satisfactory than a sanctimonious jackass getting schooled on his own canards. Rep. Adam Schiff of California is a California Democrat who fits that sanctimonious jackass part. And enter Kimberly Strassel of the Wall Street Journal's editorial page, who schooled him good. Check out her tweet:

A border state Republican congressman is introducing a bill that would effectively use foreign funds to help pay for President Trump's planned wall on the Mexican border. Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona authored House Resolution 6657, which would establish a separate U.S. Treasury account to "hold deposits to be used to secure the southern border of the United States." Republican Reps. Scott Des Jarlais of Tennessee, Ralph Norman of South Carolina, Matt Gaetz of Florida and Paul Gosar of Arizona have signed on as co-sponsors. Biggs said in a statement obtained by The Washington Examiner that "even with a Republican-controlled...

A former East Bay college philosophy professor who was charged with four counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon, causing great bodily injury, has taken a deal resulting in three years of probation for an attack at a Berkeley protest last year, court records reveal. Wednesday, Clanton was supposed to have had his preliminary hearing, where a judge decides whether there's enough evidence in a case for it to move ahead to trial. Instead, there was no hearing, and information about Clanton's plea deal became available online.

... Governor Jerry Brown keeps lecturing Californians that they need to adapt to a new “climate normal,” yet the state government has done little to prepare for warmer and drier times if that is the future. Lawmakers instead have subordinated fire prevention to pleasing the green lobby. Nearly 130 million trees in the state have died from drought, providing fuel for fast-spreading fires, and about half of the state’s 33 million acres of forestland needs restoration. The Little Hoover Commission, an independent state oversight agency, explained in a February report that “a century of fire suppression remains firmly entrenched within...

Brown has managed to divert the fawning, slobbering California media away from his actual responsibilities as California Governor, and instead has them focused on hysteria, doom, gloom, and intangibles like "climate change." Last year, as all Hell was breaking loose in California as residents were burned out of their homes, neighborhoods and businesses, Gov. Jerry Brown was jetting around the world spouting climate change propaganda, and calling this California’s ‘new normal.’ “With climate change, some scientists are saying Southern California is literally burning up, and burning up as maybe a metaphor or a description not just to the fires right...
