I got an espresso machine off Amazon for about $120. To my surprise it’s now in its fourth year of daily service. I do strong Americano only. I buy green beans from Costa Rico, Guatemala and Columbia, do a roast about every 10 days and enjoy the freshest cup every morning. I made my own roaster out of a heat gun and flour sifter. Yes it’s a process so I consider it a hobby. The cost of beans has gone up so I now estimate my cost for beans at about $100 per year.
My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma in 2013. Nobody wanted to handle her case but SCCA did. We were always impressed with the treatment, promptness, and professionalism of this place. She is still alive and in remission.
BS. There’s a great deal of hype about weather modification that simply isn’t true. Even the simplest weather modification, seeding cold fog to make it precipitate is not successful 100% of the time. Easily manipulated people seem to think by use of some magical rays tornadoes or hurricanes can be placed at specific locations or planes flying in a stable stratosphere ( of which there are over 10000 flights a day just in the US) leaving their normal combustion products is a problem. These people have no clue how the atmosphere works. I actually worked on and flew over 100 missions seeding clouds in Southeast Asia. It worked maybe 5-10% of the time and did the exact opposite an equal amount of time. All of which were completely unverifiable. I have a Master’s degree in atmospheric science with a specialty in weather modification. I am focusing my thoughts on how to survive the willful destruction of this country by doing things I have some control over rather than worrying about something I cannot control.
Time to fire up all the co2 generators we got. Leave you RVs running 24/7, burn coal, burn wood, burn electric cars. We can fight this cold with science.
I made a roaster out of a flour sifter and use it with a heat gun bought at Harbor Freight. About $30 total and the results are great. Eventually it’s an art to watch the color and listen to the pop. I only roast outside. Smell is one reason but the chaff can be messy. I did inside only once. I only make enough to last. 10 days.
