The media have tried. They have failed thus far. If Iraq goes the way those dastardly neocons believed it would, the press can kiss its sorry arse good bye. They had zero credibility after spending whatever had remained trying to get Kerry elected and now they are moving into negative territory. Is such a thing possible? I guess it means that whenever the press "report" something, rather than just ignore it people will now assume the opposite to be true.
When do you think the moderates will get around to speaking up? They've had years to do so and thus far they have shown zero inclination. All the clerics are radicalized Islamists. The religion will die (along with all the Muslims), if those who favor death over peace continue to dominate Islam.
Amazing that more people do not recognize this for the seditious behavior that it is. Even some conservatives (Pat Buchanan springs to mind) buy into the chaos nonsense because they were against the war from the start.
Does anybody else get the sense that the MSM must get terribly frustrated when there is no significant violence in Iraq to report? The Guardian is recycling an old AP report today to try and keep up the perception that chaos reigns in Iraq.
100 SS guys are never going to protect the pres all by themselves if the host country's security people are not assisting. It is simply a fact. How can the SS prepare for not being admitted by the host country's own forces? Answer: they cannot other than to not travel to those countries where the host country is incapable of providing security. That is my only point.
