ďThe reason I endorsed Arlen Specter is because we were going to have two Supreme Court nominees coming up,Ē said Santorum. ďI got a commitment from Arlen Specter that no matter who George W. Bush would nominate, he would support that nominee.Ē The former senator didnít win over everyone with that, and bristled a bit at the end of his answer. ďYou questioned my judgment, and you have every right to do so. But please donít question my intention to do whatís right for those little babies.Ē I would reiterate that sentiment. You may think the decision was not a...

The GOP could face a revolt from within its tea party grassroots base if it nominates an establishment candidate without true conservative, anti-big government values, one of Americaís leading conservative pundits tells Newsmax.TV in an exclusive interview. Specifically, columnist and former Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan told Newsmax that the nomination of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, the architect of a state insurance plan that many say inspired Obamacare, could prompt the tea party movement to form a third party. ďItís a real possibility because the tea party folks and the Republican conservatives and social conservatives and others are very...
