THE FIVE STAGES OF A TRUMPTATION A Trumptation – that moment when the GOP frontrunner becomes the total focus of the political press based on an intentional provocation – has a well-defined lifecycle.

“Its time that we realize that ISIS and radical Islam is real. They’re wanting to destroy western civilization…we’ve got a President that says we’ve contained them. It looks like to me that they’re not contained whatsoever,†Huckabee tells Breitbart News Saturday on SiriusXM with guest host Matthew Boyle. “I wish the President would put a new focus on protecting Americans rather than on protecting the reputation and image of Islam.â€

Maria Konnikova is not someone Donald Trump would typically describe as “a loser.” Fluent in Russian and English, she writes authoritatively on psychology and culture. Her work has appeared in prestigious publications ranging from The Atlantic to Scientific American. After graduating magna cum laude from Harvard, she received her Ph.D. in psychology from Columbia University. Four years ago, Konnikova wrote a piece for a publication called Big Think, postulating that Trump’s perpetual boorishness is attributable to mental illness, specifically a condition called narcissistic personality disorder. History professor Jelani Cobb, writing in The New Yorker, focused on another facet of The...

SHELBY, N.C. (BP) – North Carolina pastor Rit Varriale wants to see churches fly the Christian flag above the American flag as a biblical statement, reversing flag etiquette that calls for the American flag to be flown in the prominent position. Varriale, as senior pastor of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Shelby, N.C., said the church installed its first-ever flagpole in order to raise the two flags in a special ceremony after morning worship on Sunday (July 5) in which the Christian flag was raised in the higher position — which prompted interviews by Charlotte-area NBC, CBS and Fox affiliates. “If...

The legalization of same-sex marriage would be a “very dangerous place” for America to go and could lead to civil disobedience, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee warns. I have received an exclusive copy of a letter the Republican presidential candidate is sending to conservative leaders and pro-family activists around the nation. Click here to join Todd on Facebook for conservative conversations! In that letter, which you can read here, he vows to “fight to defend religious liberty at all costs.” “I refuse to sit silently as politically driven interest groups threaten the foundation of religious liberty, criminalize Christianity, and demand...

OK...so Obama has won reelection. It will be bad, of that there is NO doubt. However, good can come from this.

Time to reform the way electoral votes are allocated.

(Reuters) - In his first week as a Republican U.S. vice presidential candidate, Paul Ryan has quietly moved away from the Medicare reform plan that has defined his political career. At campaign stops, Ryan has made little mention of the Medicare and budget savings that conservatives cheered when presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced his running mate. When Medicare comes up, it's more often than not in an attack on Democratic President Barack Obama. "Do you think raiding Medicare to pay for Obamacare is an achievement? Why don't we just get rid of Obamacare all together?" Ryan said at a rally...

Former Arkansas Governor and Fox News host, Mike Huckabee, spoke at The FAMiLY Leader’s Leadership Summit in Waukee, IA. He said that one of the greatest fears that someone could have is to be alone. He believes that traditional values voters often feel alone. He said that with Chick-fil-A appreciation day while people stood and waited in those long lines people realized they were not alone. He said the purpose of Chick-fil-A day wasn’t about chicken sandwiches or even Chick-fil-A, it was about standing up to governmental abuse of power and free speech. This wasn’t about Dan Cathy or something...

What I called the Romney con is the culmination of the elitist faction’s strategy for using the GOP to carry American conservatives into oblivion. Apt word, oblivion; it means you’re gone and soon forgotten. This aim of the RINO (now Romney) Republicans has been clear at least since March, 2009. That’s when an article in the Washington Times reported Jeb Bush as saying that “it’s time for the Republican Party to give up its “nostalgia” for the heyday of the Reagan era.” He suggested “stealing the winning strategy deployed by the Democrats in the 2008 election.” What was that strategy?...

What is Project Anti-Cosmo? Cosmopolitan is emblematic of what’s wrong with our culture today. The content of the magazine is predominantly (and often explicitly) about sex. The articles you’ll typically find in its pages advise “hookups” without a hint of emotional connection. Yet, unlike “R” rated movies, there’s no “age limit” for anyone to access it, so young teen girls are reading, absorbing, and acting on its destructive message. Indeed, the increasing focus on sex sex sex encourages the magazine’s impressionable readers to make the most shallow choices imaginable. Because of its popularity (it’s in every supermarket, at the nail...

RUSH: I'm still confused. If Republicans were the ones putting guns to everybody's heads, how come the Democrats got away with all the money? Two-point-four trillion is a pretty good haul even by the Democrat Party's high criminal standards. How can it be said that Obama lost? We got people on our side running around saying that. This was a big win. And you Tea Party people, I want you to beware, there are people trying to convince you that you won big, that you changed the game, that you changed the way things are going, and they are lying...

Why aren't you doing something to stop DADT from being repealed?
-
Can someone on this forum please explain to me how Senator Lieberman can introduce a "Free Standing Bill" to repeal DADT and get it voted on? Doesn't the House have to vote as well? How does the conservatives in the Senate stop him?

There's been some confusion about this event next month called Homocon, sponsored by GOProud, which bills itself as a Republican and conservative "gay" group. At first glance, the group's platform may have some appeal to conservatives – and I have no doubt that some of the group's members actually vote Republican. "GOProud represents gay conservatives and their allies," claims a mission statement on the group's website. "GOProud is committed to a traditional conservative agenda that emphasizes limited government, individual liberty, free markets and a confident foreign policy. GOProud promotes our traditional conservative agenda by influencing politics and policy at the...

.................I believe that's what Jesus meant when He told us to love our enemies. The ultimate demonstration of love for a Christian should be to evangelize the lost. There is no indication Ann Coulter has ever used one of her paid speaking engagements to do this. In fact, I'm not even sure a paid speaking engagement is an appropriate forum for evangelizing. Nevertheless, I have heard from a few Christians who compare Coulter's paid speaking gig to Homocon with Jesus sitting down with tax collectors and sinners. That is not good discernment. Coulter is a political activist, a pundit, a...

I just got my census form yesterday. I don't have a problem with filling it out and did so immediately. However, there was something about it that was troubling. For each individual you list, it did NOT ask if they were U.S. Citizen. IF the census determines the make-up of House of Representative votes, then shouldn't it be based SOLELY upon the population of U.S. Citizens? IF they count everyone, then states like CA with large number of illegals will be over represented in Congress. This just doesn't seem right to me.

"To take from one, because it is thought that his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare others, who, or whose fathers have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, 'the guarantee to every one of a free exercise of his industry, and the fruits acquired by it.'" Thomas Jefferson

After two nights of outstanding and highly motivating speeches at the RNC. I am feeling REALLY good about the McCain/Palin ticket. This morning I read that Queen Oprah has said an emphatic "NO" to having Sarah Palin on her show. Also, all the shrill MSM talking heads trying to put down the McCain/Palin ticket is getting out of control. They are scared....Obama is scared....and the rightley. McCain/Palin is going to beat "Obama(bin)Biden." Senator Obama needs to pen a new book about his soon-to-fail campaign and title it "The Hopelessness of Stupid Audacity." I wished I had the photoshop skills to...
