Here's the definitive word on what's true and what's not on how the tax impacts real estate.Ever since health care reform was enacted into law more than two years ago, rumors have been circulating on the Internet and in e-mails that the law contains a 3.8 percent tax on real estate. CNN host Soledad O’Brien and Rudy Giuliani clashed on Monday, with the the former New York City mayor accusing O’Brien of trying to blame George W. Bush for the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. While interviewing Giuliani, O’Brien played a clip of former Bush adviser Matthew Dowd comparing Benghazi to the invasion of Iraq, arguing it was possible for the intelligence to be initially wrong on Benghazi, just as intelligence indicating Iraq had weapons of mass destruction turned out to be false. “We’re going to blame this on Bush, too?” Giuliani said.

A Texas restaurant owner is up in arms after Corpus Christi city officials informed him he can no longer wash the bird poop off the sidewalk in front of his business — not unless he wants a $2,000 fine, KRIS-TV reported. John Webb, general manager of Crawdaddy’s in downtown Corpus Christi, told the station he’s been hosing the sidewalk down for 18 years. That is, until city officials told him earlier this month he was breaking the law. The reason? A city storm water ordinance that bars anyone from washing pollutants, like bird poop, into the storm drain system that...

VICTORIA, Tx. -- The Secret Service is looking into a sign posted in Victoria, Texas. The sign says "Pray for Obama", but it's the scripture quoted below those words that is raising eyebrows: Psalms 109:8. Psalms 109:8 reads, "Let his days be few, and let another take his office." Milton Neitsch Jr., who has lived in Victoria since 1961, says he didn't intend for people to pick up on the hateful wishes of death and pain surrounding the tiny verse.

I ordered Rush's product ''2 if by tea'' out of curiosity. At first I thought the price was too high, till I did the math and compared other high end products. It arrived within 3 days and was impressed by the packaging and the label(that alone made brought back my impression of Billy Beer. After an evening in the fridge I chose to taste the product. I gave one to my wife (diet) while I chose the regular. Both of us were more than shocked by the flavor of the tea. It's not only refreshing, but there is no after-taste as...

In what police describe as one of the most gruesome crimes against a child in recent memory, an infant boy was stabbed, decapitated and mutilated early Sunday. His 33-year-old mother claimed responsibility, police said. Otty Sanchez told police that she was “hearing voices” and that the devil made her kill Scott Wesley Buchholtz Sanchez, to whom she gave birth on June 30, San Antonio police spokesman Joe Rios said. Sanchez used a steak knife to repeatedly stab the nearly 4-week-old baby, then decapitate and mutilate him, Rios said. A police source said the baby was skinned and gutted.
