I'm physically handicapped so I do some of my shopping (with reputable) companies. I also have my bank account set up to automatically pay my bills in the event I'm in the hospital. Today I was reviewing my online statement and updating the names of the companies I have done business with. Imagine my surprise when for the first time since 11/96 I found 3 charges which were unrecognizable. Needless to say I called the bank for more info. All 3 charges were from an organization I want nothing to do with and didn't know. BTW: I did not lose...

My sister and B-I-L arrived yesterday afternoon from Houston. My sister and B-I-L along with close to 20 other people met up in Senator Cornyn's office. He was courteous, spent time talking to all of them. He also confirmed he did NOT like the health care bill and shared he was proud people were getting involved. My sister stated it was a very positive meeting. They then went over to Al Green's office. They were the only ones who went to Green's office. While she did say the lady was friendly she also was asked what district my sister was from....

I recently bought me an inexpensive bread maker. My reasons were two-fold. I had stomach surgery back in June, 2006 and due to a few neurological changes, my taste buds changed. As an example of the changes, I actively disliked cauliflour as well as spinach. Now I don't automatically say I don't like something just because I despised it prior to my second tummy surgery. I haven't actually gone out to buy caulifour but I AM keeping frozen spinach on hand. In some ways this change has been a blessing because it opens a whole new world to my taste...

My home health care aide came in about 10 minutes ago and told me the schools in Sterling are on shutdown due to an outside threat. As we were talking about it a scroll appeared across the bottom of the television stating all schools in Comanche County and surrounding areas are shut down. Per aide and info she managed to get from an inside source as her kids are affected, gang members from Chickasha, Ok. have made threats which are being treated seriously by all LEO's. Will post more as I know more.

LAWTON-- It's supposed to be the time to honor a fallen American hero. But, once again a radical church group from Kansas has plans to the contrary. On Sunday, Fort Sill will hold a memorial service to remember Specialist Wilfred Flores, Junior of Lawton. You'll remember he was killed last month in Iraq while fighting the war on terror. 7-News has learned the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas plans to protest the memorial. They're the same group that has sparked states across the country, including Oklahoma, to create laws restricting when and where they can protest funerals. They believe...

FDA Finds Melamine in Wheat Gluten used by Hill's Pet Nutrition Company Initiates Recall of Dry Cat Food The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today notified Hill's Pet Nutrition, Inc., of Topeka, Kansas, that FDA testing has detected melamine and melamine byproducts in wheat gluten received by the company to make dry cat food. FDA is conducting an investigation into pet food products made with wheat gluten that contains melamine and their association with reports of injury and deaths in cats and dogs. Because the cat food is sold exclusively through veterinarians, Hill's has notified veterinarians, and is voluntarily recalling...

My ex Mother-in-Law is in the hospital with an unknown infection. She's having some vertigo, is very weak and currently unable to walk or feed herself. Initially they thought she had pneumonia but since her lungs were clear they are unsure what type of infection she has. There's a strong possibility she may have to go into a nursing home if she doesn't regain her ability to walk or feed herself. She's a wonderful Christian lady who is beloved by her two daughters, their husbands, my ex-husband along with numerous grandkids and great grandkids. I would appreciate prayers for her...

The Best Sister She Ever Had | 03/06/05 | Sally'sConcerns
I would like to introduce you to my sister, Alexis the Bengal Kitty. She's a staunch conservative who has lurked ever since I signed up in April, 2001. She finally decided to take the plunge and join today. Please go easy on her since this is her first time on a political board. Oh, did I mention she loves the information she finds on FReeRepublic? The majority of our conversations revolve around things we've read on FR. She's been a bit nervous about signing up and participating because there are so many intelligent, articulate people on FR that she was...
