Eliminating the Electoral College role in Presidential Elections is the “kill shot” to the Republic. Considering that most of the US towns and many cities have come to resemble dirty, junky, Mexican towns.....I’m not sure it really matters.
Saw a story yesterday claiming that legislation like this and the pro-squatters rights agenda in the North East is going to be another nail in the coffin of home building/affordable housing, etc.
“I figured that by the end of this decade EVs would have near cost-parity with combustion vehicles”
That won’t happen until the floodgate opens from Mexico of cheap BYD Chinese EV’s. And that will be the death knell of the US auto industry and the craven Democrat Union workers to build US junk.

How ‘bout they start placing orders with Airbus? Korean Airlines just did. Boeing is toast. There’s no fixing something as poorly conceived as their business model.
I have no interest in challenging your logic. The broader truth is that the Emerson survey results are a crock. A 3% lead for Trump is statistically insignificant in a State with elections as corrupt and corruptible as Pennsylvania.
You’re correct that the election will be decided by a handful of votes in a few (25) swing districts. Elections in the rest of the country are window dressing. Now the government in Wisconsin has gerrymandered the Democrats into power in that state. Michigan, Illinois, Ohio.......? We’ve seen this show before.
