We took a road trip a couple months ago and lunch was so easy. We had a small cooler with the frozen ice packs and we packed deli meats and cheeses, fruit, bread, chips etc., and we just pulled over and made sandwiches for our lunches. At each hotel we stayed, we would transfer the food into the fridge and refreeze the icepacks. If the hotel offered a continental breakfast, we would grab a couple extra pieces of fruit for the road. It was so much better than fast food.
