I have an even better idea. Let’s let all of those people who want to be a state move to the mainland and then those of us who are true patriots, conservatives, and want a minimal government all move to the island and make it our own country.

He thought that because he was talking about 2008 not 2012. What else would it have been in 2008? His point was that the lines were huge in 2008 in a very blue precinct and nobody there this morning in 2012. That is a good thing for us!

I’ve had my dummy account for about a month now! I’ve tried to post enough replies so that now I can start threads! WIll be letting you guys know when it starts to turn south and let all the fun begin! Here is one that was posted last night...seriously you can’t make this stuff up:

Rachel Maddow needs to get the Nobel Peace Prize or maybe run for president in 2016!

Hahaha! That helped me sleep last night knowing that just because they are confident doesn’t make them right or smart!

It’s like a train wreck over there. I admit, I’ve been dumpster diving too! I am amazed(although I shouldn’t be) that they think their points are better made with the F bomb added. Seriously, one of the big differences I have noticed in their reaction to polls is that very very very few ever mention the internals or the history of said pollster. They will spout anything as fact. There are too many stupid posts to comment on but one in particular that I remember was one that got a ton of approval, “Dems will take back the house too!”. Tuesday really out to be fun!

  • Romney: Vote for love of country, not revenge

The fact that they have had to explain his remarks show that it got enough attention and negative play to get on their radar. 4 days to go and you are having to have a spokesperson explain something away....not good. On a side note there is no good explanation or spin. Revenge on what? Fellow Americans that don’t agree with you? You know even when we were attacked on 9/11 the word revenge was never used. It also doesn’t help him that this was a small sound bite of a phrase kind of like “ You didn’t build that”. It’s just too easy to repeat and no way to spin. I found it to be very defensive. Means things are not going well if you have to resort to revenge to fire up your base. Revenge does not help me find a job or put food on the table. He’s lost it!

I follow your logic about the new wearing off. However think back to that crowd in Ohio this exact weekend in 2008 where he had 80,000 and this year 4,000. I would assume at least 75% of that 80,000 would have voted for him on the low end which would be around 60,000. Now let’s assume that 100% of those 4,000 will vote for him as they are still the ones with enough enthusiasm to get out there. Let’s also assume those are not bussed in paid fans but true Obama voters. That is still a 56,000 vote difference. That is more than just the new wearing off I think. I think that will play a significant role in Romney’s win on Tuesday.

  • Romney's 'October surprise' WILL be released: Judge allows Mitt's secret evidence...be public

Did you watch the live feed that TMZ provided? That judge was not having any of the Gloria crud! The poor Boston Globe attorney looked like he was there under threat which I am sure he was.

Gloria didn’t win. What she argued was that the gag order be lifted so she could put the “testimony in context”. Gloria actually said that without it the divorce testimony wouldn’t mean anything to the average American and they(we) deserved the context. She’s only looking out for the good of all Americans didn’t you know! She said without the order being lifted Mrs. Staples didn’t feel that she could talk about Mitt at all and her rights were being violated as she was the only person on the planet that couldn’t have a public opinion about this candidate!

Then it got good.... the judge who wasn’t buying it said that Mrs. Staples had every right to her opinion and could do so publicly. She just couldn’t say anything about her divorce. Then she said, “ Mr. Staples did it on national television at the RNC and was able to fully give on opinion on Mitt and his ability to be President without mentioning the divorce so surely Mrs. Staples could do it too! HAHAHA! Gloria didn’t know what to do with that!

The judge also mentioned that she has had 18 years to lift the gag order and the judge wasn’t about to subvert due diligence laws because the election is 12 days away.

Gloria went on then to ask Romney’s attorney if he cared if the gag order was lifted and the judge stopped her and said that Mitt wasn’t on the original contract of non-disclosure so his opinion really had no legal merit! Gloria really thought she had this one and was shut down cold! So fun to watch!

  • ABC/WashPost Poll: Obama Bump Dropped From 6 Points to ‘About Even’ Saturday

You are assuming that the only people that voted for him were hardcore Democrats. Bad assumption. I think there are at least 14 million soccer moms, feel gooders, and independents that said let’s give this guy a shot. Remember, he was running against McCain which only made that “what the heck” decision even easier.

The concept that Carter was up +17 over Reagan is laughable looking back. Reagan won it by +9. That means the polls were 26 points off. This +5 to +3 business is only to keep people watching the news and to keep democratic voters somewhat interested. If they thought he was going to win they would have him up far more than +5. They know that the farther out on that limb they go, the harder they will fall. No story here people!

I don’t think the question is who do you like more for this poll. I think it is do you find Obama favorable..yes or no and then do you find Romney favorable...yes or no. 52% when asked if they found Obama favorable said yes. When asked if they found Romney favorable 50% said yes. Clear as mud now right?

Don't forget this angle too....he's old. So what happens if Obama goes after Clint too hard over this? Many many of the medicare population see Eastwood as an icon from their generation. If he is attacked they may feel as if Obama is picking on him because of his age. He is conservative from a generation who quit paying attention to Hollywood a long time ago but they will still claim Clint. There is really nothing Obama can do to counter act the Eastwood effect.

Like him or not Romney has yet to make a mistake. Even walking in down the aisle last night instead of across the stage was intentional. Looked like he was coming in for a state of the union address as PRESIDENT. Having an elderly icon on stage was no accident. Lack of a “soaring” speech was no accident. People gave a speech reader their votes once. If you are unemployed do you want to be moved by fancy words or do you want a job? Ryan mentioned medicare first. He said basically bring it on. They are defining this campaign not Obama. Start watching the intentionality and thought that this campaign is showing. He isn't chasing Obama. He is acting like a president and mentioning issues on his agenda not Obama’s.

So arrogant to even write that letter. I think this needs to be ignored. If they reply with a “I’ll show you my records if you show me yours” takes the discussion off of the economy and the record. Just keep on point Mitt!

There is nothing in it for Hillary. She loses big as his vp.

Let’s pretend that she did take it. I don’t think it would mean a for sure win for Obama. At the end of the day he still has to answer for Obamacare, unemployment, debt, etc. She doesn’t fix that or pretty that up in any way. What it does do is to draw attention to her 4 year record in foreign affairs which is pretty bad as well. I think it opens a whole other can of worms.

I agree. He is too proud. He is all knowing and above the rest of us so to take someones opinion and act on it will never happen. Don't forget he's SUPER smart!

On a side note I never took the “I can see Russia from my backyard.” as she really thought she could. She was just saying how close Russia really is to the US in a sarcastic manner. I don't think this was a measure of her smarts people! I think had Obama said it the media would have said of course he was being sarcastic to make a point. She said it and it was spun that she was dumb. I do like Sarah. I think she is a great American who wants to make a difference. I just don't think she is right for the top job. Great leaders have great support people. She's great at that!
