I'm just wondering, because radical blacks argue that they were known as Hebrews, which I don't think is the case. I only know they became Israelites, after Jacob wrestled the angel.

It looks like it will be a coalition government in New Zealand. The National Party is not getting a majority, so they are going to have to cooperate with some other party to govern, like ACT New Zealand.

Edwin Castro, who won Powerball’s record-breaking $2 billion jackpot this February, isn’t quite done spending his newfound cash on luxury real estate. The lucky lotto player has already purchased at least two other California mansions since coming into the money this past winter — and now he has splurged yet again, this time on a $47 million compound in Bel Air. Castro’s newest crib brags seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and an infinity pool with panoramic views of Los Angeles, the Daily Mail first reported. The 31-year-old’s newest home further boasts DJ turntables, a champagne tasting room, a suspended glass walkway,...

Liberals are constantly saying that fascism is a right-wing belief system, because that's how the university education system allocated it. We both know that's bs, because Mussolini and Gentile were quite clear that they were creating a socialist political system that has all the markings of left-wing socialism. When somebody says that fascism is right-wing, they are not defining it as right-wing objectively, but subjectively. Relative to themselves because they are to the left of fascism, making them communists or that thin sliver that sits between communism and fascism. However, it doesn't matter. What I realized is that they are...

I'm just curious for other opinions, who maybe are qualified than myself. A young man gets his accounting certification as a certified public accountant. He gets a job, paying about $75,000/annum, in the IRS department. On weekends, he keeps books for clients, to which he makes about $30,000/annum. He has started an investment account, to which he will deposit as much as he can because he wants to transition living on the investment income and invest his other incomes into his investments. I told him that it is probably best to have the government take 100% of his income, just...

In an apparent example of interspecies compassion, a group of crocodiles appeared to usher a dog to safety after it fell into a dangerous river. The dog, believed to be a stray, was being chased by a pack of other feral canines when it jumped into the River Savirtri in India out of harm’s way, or so it thought. But the river was infested by local mugger crocodiles, and three of them were floating near the stray. This should have been the end of the helpless pup, with the crocs being “well within the striking range,” according to a report...

The Group of 20 leaders have agreed to a plan to eventually impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their respective populations, despite fears that governments will use them to monitor their peoples' spending and crush dissent. The G20, which is currently under India’s presidency, adopted a final declaration on the subject over the weekend in New Delhi. The meeting, which included the world’s leading economies, announced last week that they had agreed to build the necessary infrastructure to implement digital currencies and IDs.

Curtailing aid to Ukraine will only prolong the war, Mr Zelensky argues. And it would create risks for the West in its own backyard. There is no way of predicting how the millions of Ukrainian refugees in European countries would react to their country being abandoned. Ukrainians have generally "behaved well" and are "very grateful" to those who sheltered them. They will not forget that generosity. But it would not be a "good story" for Europe if it were to "drive these people into a corner".

A judge sentenced That '70s Show star Danny Masterson to 30 years to life in prison Thursday for the rapes of two women two decades ago. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo handed down the sentence to Masterson, 47, after hearing statements from the women about the trauma they experienced and the suffering caused by the disturbing memories in the years since. The actor, who has been in custody since May, sat in court wearing a suit. He watched the women without visible reaction as they spoke. "When you raped me, you stole from me," said one woman...

The Burning Man Festival is held in the desert of Black Rock City, Nevada. This year's festival opened with a viral video of climate change activists blocking traffic with law enforcement responding. Now, the controversy has spun into a chaotic scene the festival organizers are declaring a National Emergency. Can a festival declare a National Emergency? That's beside the point right now. Heavy rains overnight on Friday have transformed the infamously dusty desert site into a muddy mess, trapping over 70,000 attendees. The festival-goers are being instructed to shelter in place and to conserve food and water resources since getting...

"Some states have enacted laws and policies that may affect 2SLGBTQI+ persons," the travel advisory states. "Check relevant state and local laws." The '2S' abbreviation refers to Two-Spirit, a term used in Indigenous and First Nations communities to describe people who are not straight or cisgender. The travel advisory page links to a separate page of travel advice for LGBTQ residents, encouraging them to research and follow the laws of the country they are visiting, "even if these laws infringe on your human rights." Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland addressed the new travel advisory Tuesday, backing the decision of Global...

A man used stolen money to gamble on in a bet. After he won over 100 times the amount of money he gambled on, he refused to give the person he stole from their fair share of the money. Now he is at risk of losing his relationship. The man allegedly stole 10K from his girlfriend to use in a bet and ended up winning 100M. In 2021, the man from Nigeria allegedly stole the money after his girlfriend had left it on his shelf while visiting him. While she took a trip to the salon, he took the 10K...

On Monday, Hawaii’s Democrat Governor Josh Green announced that his administration is actively considering acquiring properties in Lahaina that have been devastated by recent wildfires. A total of 99 deaths were recorded as a result of the wildfires that occurred in Maui. Concerns have been raised among officials regarding the potential increase in the death toll, as just 25% of the burn area has been searched thus far. Local residents are grappling with not only the loss of homes and loved ones but the unsettling attention of developers looking to capitalize on their tragedy. USA Today reported a particularly distressing...

My cat died today. She was 20. She was a beautiful golden brown tabby. She was very good cat to get along with. She loved her family. Yes, I'm saddened, but she lived a pretty good life. God honoured me by allowing her to pass on before I brought her to the vet for euthanization. The vet told me that the lack of corneal activity probably indicated that she only operating autonomously, with her heart and lungs and bodily functions. But that was all that was left of her. So, while we will probably have pets in heaven and eternity...

In order to optimize traffic flow through city streets, municipalities often install car-counting cameras or other sensors at a few set locations. A new study, however, suggests that using existing bus-mounted cameras may be a better way to go. Most city buses are already equipped with forward-facing cameras for the same reason that many private vehicles are – to document any accidents in which they may be involved. Such cameras are in use on the buses utilized at The Ohio State University campus, which is laid out a bit like a small city. MORE STORIES Gaia adds some loading versatility...
