Gee, the “intellectual, smarter than the rest of us” are outing themselves as rubes. Ha, us Rush Limbaugh, talkradio listening, wingnutjteabaggers had Obama pegged from the beginning. I’m horrified by the Obama Presidency. I said when he took office that we’ll be lucky to get through his term(s) without a major catastrophe. 9/11 was planned and launched under Clinton. We’re not out of the woods by any means, indeed the woods seem to have caught fire. And we have no idea what our enemies are planning for us or our allies or against whirled peas.

"Thousands have been protesting the police killing of Michael Brown, an unarmed African-American teenager in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson."

There is almost nothing honest or right about this sentence. "Thousands protesting the killing of Brown... really? We don't know that. They could've been out for a good time and a little rioting and looting. We do know 90% of those arrested are not from Ferguson.

"Police killing" - ah, what does that mean? A cop shot and killed Brown, after being assaulted and having his skull fractured. The perp, Brown, was in the midst of assaulting the cop again with the apparent intent to kill him, at least to beat him to within an inch of his life. What is any person, even a cop to do?

"Unarmed teenager" is now Brown's first name. Brown knew he was not armed with a weapon, he did have his fists and feet, with which he'd already did damage to put the cop in the hospital. The cop didn't know that "unarmed Brown" was unarmed, in any case he had no choice but to shoot to defend his own life. Unarmed Brown knew he was unarmed, but chose to taunt the cop, "what are you going to do, shoot me"? and rush to attack him. Was Unarmed Brown reckless and heedless of his own life and that of the cop? Yes. He paid for it with his own life.

Let's say Unarmed Brown and Unarmed Trayvon had survived their encounters with armed victims, what would have happened in their lives. I'd say, barring a miracle, they would've ended up dead in a later encounter in their criminal careers.

“Nearly six years into his term, with his popularity at the lowest of his presidency, Mr. Obama appears remarkably distant from his own party on Capitol Hill, with his long neglect of would-be allies catching up to him."

Why would Obama cozy up to "his" party in Congress, their popularity is say 6%, while his is say 38%. BTW, Obama's party is Obama and no one else.

Also, what Reid doesn't get is that for Obama, Reid is the enemy, he's what Obama campaigns against.

It's the Limbaugh Theorem. Obama's not governing, he has no fingerprints on what's happening. It's all the fault of a disfunctional Congress or Washington DC. And Obama's been campaigning against the problems since 2007. The just don't listen to the poor guy.

Ah, no. Blacks seem to be more willing to be manipulated by lying race hucksters, biased media and insane progressive politicians.

The charges that got Black people riled up in Trayvon and by the slowly revealed facts in the Brown case have been lies. These lies are propagated by people who expect to benefit from the lies. Black Americans will get riled up, but will benefit in exactly no way. In fact, they will be harmed by the race hatred incited by the progressives/Democrats. Other Americans; White, Black + others will be less willing to hire Black Americans due to the image presented of Blacks to other Americans. We need an enterprising journalist/researcher to compile a bunch of the anti-white comments by members, leaders, elected officials of the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party is conducting a war on Whites, White Males, Elderly Whites from just the comments I've heard.

I've heard comments from MSNBC types "complaining" that the GOP or Tea Party are too White and too old. Oh, the Democrats are also conducting a war on White Christians, the Black Church gets a pass. The Democrats are conducting a War on the Bill of Rights with attacks on the freedoms of the press, speech, assembly and religion. They're attacking the 2nd amendment, due process and protections against illegal searches, not to mention seizures of private property.

Here's why the Gentle Giant keep coming and the officer keep shooting before GG could finish the job on the cop that he'd started. He was shot 4 times in his right arm, which didn't even slow down GG. Then he was shot in the eye, a fatal shot and immediately afterward shot in the top of the head, also a fatal shot and he went down facing forward. [speculation]

If GG was going backward with his arms up, he could not have been shot on top of the head and he would not have fallen on his front.

Why the morons allowed the meme of "hands up don't shoot" to get started and settled is beyond me. We're going to have college bands at football games forming the "hands up, don't shoot" sign during halftime, like they did with Trayvon Martin. And that was even after all the facts came out. For the Agitators, truth and facts don't matter, it's the agitation and incitement that's important.

I can't say that I don't get why Western politicians make comments about Islamic theology. They are not Muslims (in Obama's case, he is a Muslim under Shariah Law and we have no evidence of a conversion or baptism) and they are not Muslim scholars or students of Islamic Theology.

The key to this is to ask the question, who is the intended audience and what is the politician trying to accomplish?

The audience is Westerners, not Muslims, because Muslims know better. The politician pushing the "Islam is a religion of peace" line is trying to prevent a reaction among the Western populace, who may want to demand action against the Muslim barbarians.

At best, the politician is just trying to keep doing nothing. Because doing something creates political risks. Keep people apathetic, uninformed and they won't demand the stop to Muslim immigration infiltration or to attack the many Islamic terror bands out there.

I'm the whitest whitebread suburban guy there is. And I have no problem with Black People at all. My 6th grade teacher was Black, Mrs. Kirkwood and there was only one black kid in the class. I think I first saw black people on the streets when I was in jr high. Not a lot of exposure, there.

In my career as a sales rep, Black doctors and nurses were among the people I sold to. And I'm sure they have race-dar to pick up vibes from people, who don't like blacks. I developed many friendships and relationships over the years.

I've been hired by a black manager, who then had to let me go and then hired me back when he could. I work today with black people as customers, colleagues and admin support.

I've never had a problem with these productive, friendly and full of good humor Americans. I'm called a brother from another mother by one of my colleagues, who not coincidentally is an active believing Christian.

The black underclass is a creation of the Democrat Party (with zero pushback by the GOP) and is a catastrophe mostly for Black Americans, but for the entire country.

This is not a racial issue. Thomas Sowell wrote about this in his book Black Rednecks and White Liberals, about how black urban culture is very similar to white redneck culture back in the Hatfield and McCoys days.

Theodore Dalrymple wrote about the White Underclass in the UK, whose culture is practically indistinguishable to Black urban cultur in 'Life at the Bottom: The Worldview That Makes the Underclass'.

Socialism in both countries is creating this culture and this catastrophe.

Dear Author Farai Chideya, you are full of it. Unarmed black teen - you do not know the circumstances of the shooting. The witness that the media has run with, turns out to be Brown's accomplice in the strong arm robbery. He's a thug and a liar. A friend of the officer involved says that Big Mike, the gentle giant after one assault on the officer, was racing toward the officer to attack him again. Trayvon Martin first name was changed to "unarmed teenager", even though he was using his fists to beak a guys head into the cement.

But all the facts have not come out, your piece is BS and you're prejudiced. You've prejudged this case and made wild assumptions and implications of how this somehow affects the entire US of A.

In my opinion, this propaganda in the Brown case is about agitating the Black population in order to get them to come out and vote in November. That's my opinion and I think I can back it better than you can back up your drivel.

All of these police shootings of young Black men would stop immediately, if young Black men gave up their criminal activity. How about that for a solution? Otherwise what, give young Black men a free pass to commit crimes?

Does Homeland Security predict the rise of Government Violence? Doubtful, in spite of the fact that the oddest Federal Departments are purchasing tons of ammunition and are actively militarizing themselves.

Could there possibly be a connection.

Ruby Ridge and Waco started with government violence and lead to the Oklahoma City bombing (of which the entire story has not been uncovered).

Maybe the lying, coverups, illegality of the Federal Government especially has lead to a degradation in respect for the law and increased the willingness to engage in violence. Hmmmm?

And finally, the terms "anti-Government" and "Homeland" never used to apply to America, but to unstable 3rd world states. That this now applies is a symptom of the out of control Federal Government, not a cause.

If the is an increase of violence in America, I recommend that Homeland Security look in the mirror for the cause.

I hope, but I doubt, that among the "hard truths" that parents (are Father's involved) tell their young black men, that young black men are represented far above their numbers as perps of crimes. That others (whites, police, blacks and others) get nervous around young black males is the fault of young black males. Even Jesse Jackson in a rare moment of honesty said that when walking down a dark street and hearing footsteps behind him, he would be relieved if he saw the group of men were white and not black. Does this make Jesse Jackson a racist?

And why are young black males more prone to committing criminal acts and getting punished and suspended from school? The reason is the failure of intact black families to form. Fathers are not present and why? Blacks jumped onto the welfare bandwagon earlier and to a much larger degree than other races. Men, Fathers were pushed out and replaced with Father State. This has been a catastrophe, part of which is playing out in Ferguson MO over the passed few days. Security video of "unarmed teenager Big Mike Brown (now deceased)" pushing someone in a store against the refrigerators, while stealing cigars. Police were responding to this robbery. So much for the sob stories about the "unarmed teenager" (first name) of Brown, who was a gentile, good boy with no enemies. Big Mike was a thug.

Page is basically calling Rep. Brooks a racist, while denying that anti-white racism exists. It's just a projection after all.

Even the socialists are abandoning Obama, who deserves the "no blood for oil" jeers. Yup, today's socialists are right in line with Karl Marx, who advocated that the large, administrative States exterminate the smaller ethnicities, as it made it too difficult to run a marxist state with all those minorities. Socialists are joining with Islamist to eliminate all religious minorities; Jews (done), Christians (almost completed), Yazidis (in progress) and Muslim Shia (just starting).

John Judis is a supporter of genocide. That's the bottom line.

The appears to be race. Inoyue made a deathbed request that Abercrombie (white hippie) appoint his protege Hanabusa (Japanese) to the Senate. Abercrombie (white hippie) appointed Brian Schatz (white political hack) to the Senate. This pissed off Hanabusa supporters (Asian tribalists), who decided to get revenge by tossing the white hippie and his puppet out on their butts.

This is the future of politics in States that are One Party Democrat areas. The fights will be tribal, identity and racial battles. Thank you Democrats for this progress.

First, you have to consider someone "not one of us", meaning what to a NY Times liberal, bubble-encased columnist?

To me, it can mean only one thing, that Nixon really was like the NY Times liberal columnist, meaning he was a liberal. And if you look at Nixon's policies, he was a big government guy through and through. The only policy difference with the liberals, was that Nixon was an anti-communist, while liberals just considered communists to be "liberals in a hurry". Another phrase from the day was that "there were no enemies to the left". Every conservative or even moderate could be considered a political enemy, but not a socialist, marxist, communist or other statist.

Nixon engendered the hatred of the elitist liberals back when he was outing communists in the government and went after Alger Hiss, the epitomy of "one of us". Nixon was also declasse, a nobody with a nothing background and definitely not an alum of one of the right schools.

What else could Wicker mean by "one of us"?

"Perhaps history will mark this as the week that President Obama recognized that evil unimpeded will devour everything before it."

The triumph of hope over evidence. How is Obama recognize evil here? In Obama's view, ISIS is on the wrong side of history and history will take care of itself, so Obama will do nothing more than he is politically forced to do. Obama is like the Bourbons, he learns nothing, he recognizes nothing and he forgets nothing.

Here’s the problem for the GOP-e. They didn’t run as the establishment. They ran as Tea Partiers. Of course, they lied, but now they can be held to their statements.

Look people, like Rush says, it takes courage to believe the truth. Here, FReepers have a very good take on the Democrats, the elitists, the RINOs, the GOP-e and other miscreants. There's still division on the GOP.

Republican silence is not a mistake, a failure or incompetence. Silence is their strategy. The GOP is the only political party on the planet that believes in "no communication" with voters as the way to success.

The most horrible thing about this will be, if the 2016 mid-term elections are in fact a wave election, the GOP will feel itself vindicated in its strategy. And that will only encourage them.

One problem with "strategic silence" being implemented, is that even if you win, you have no mandate to do anything, to change any policies, because voters choose you only because you weren't the other guys. This leads to failure in office and a quick return of the totalitarian Democrat Party and they plan to attack their designated enemies with the power of government.

After Reagan, we elected George H. W. Bush, who ran to be Reagan's 3rd term. He lied and suffered the greatest political collapse of any President in American History. He was replaced by the good ol' boy socialist Bill Clinton and his lovely wife Bruno.

George W. Bush after 2 terms of non-communication and mediocre domestic policies and no roll back of big government was replaced by the marxist/islamist Barack Hussein Obama, under whom America is suffering for 5 1/2 years with 2 1/2 years to go. We're not escaping Obama without at least one major catastrophe. It's in the cards.

RINOism leads to socialism and totalitarian government, because they provide NO alternative.

Unions are founded on violence and the threat of violence. Why would anyone be surprised that a union president would threaten violence against opponents? It’s what they do and who they are and it’s why they are part and parcel of the totalitarian Democrat Party.
