According to MSNBC pundit Michelle Bernard -- best known at NewsBusters perhaps because of her insistence that there is a "war on black boys" in America -- savaged newly-announced GOP presidential aspirant Dr. Ben Carson tonight by alleging his success is all owed to "affirmative action." She also suggested that he's a disgrace to his enslaved ancestors and to the black community in Baltimore, where he's lived throughout his career as an acclaimed neurosurgeon. Bernard made her remarks in the midst of a segment with Matthews, Huffington Post's Howard Fineman, and National Journal's Ron Fournier devoted to trashing Carson, Carly...

Decision makes state legislature second in US, after Tennessee, to oppose boycott movement Indiana’s state senate passed a non-binding resolution opposing boycotts of Israel. Resolution 74, adopted earlier this week, makes Indiana’s legislature the second in the United States to pass a resolution condemning BDS, or the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign. Tennessee passed a similar appeal last month. The Indiana House of Representatives unanimously passed the anti-BDS House Resolution 59 on April 22. The measure now goes to Indiana Gov. Mike Pence for his signature. Last week, the student senate at Earlham College, a Quaker liberal arts institution in...

One commander shot dead four other Germans and became so hysterical that his own colonel had to hit him with the butt of his gun to stop him battering a fifth. A disgusting new trend is spreading across the internet called the “Eric Sheppard challenge”. If you haven’t heard of it yet, be prepared to be outraged. Eric Sheppard is a racist thug wanted in Georgia after his gun was found on campus during a series of protests. Sheppard is a member of the New Black Panther party who calls himself a terrorist against white people. The thug remains at large, and black people around the country have joined together to help police find him to prosecute him. JUST KIDDING, that would be the respectful thing to do. Instead, black protesters...

Controversy over the use of the word “thug” in the wake of the Baltimore riots continued Sunday with former CNN host Soledad O’Brien weighing in to claim the word has racial overtones. “I can’t think of a situation where there’s ever been a headline or someone has called a white young person who’s in the middle of a violent protest, demonstration, whatever, a thug,” she told guest host Frank Sesno on “Reliable Sources.” “We use it all the time when we’re talking about people in the inner city.” Sesno pointed out that no racial connotation s given in the dictionary...

Chiquita Hill, 33, posted photos of her 10-year-old son being "arrested" to Facebook after she called the police because he was being disrespectful. Hill posted the photos with captions describing how she did not want her son to become a thug. "First let me say that I love my children," Hill wrote on Facebook Tuesday. "They are what keeps me going. But ... I’ll be damned if they are disrespectful to me and anyone else." Her son had been acting up at school and disrespecting his teacher, leading the teacher to show up at Hill's house for a parent-teacher conference....

...in Freddie Gray CaseThe Fraternal Order of Police has suggested that Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby may not be able to run a fair, impartial investigation of the death of Freddie Gray at the hands of police, in part because of her close relationship with the Gray family’s lawyer. Mosby on Friday announced charges against six Baltimore police officers for manslaughter, second-degree assault and misconduct related to Gray’s death. Gray suffered a fatal spinal injury while in police custody, an event that led to rioting in the city this week. Just before Mosby announced that charges were filed, the Fraternal...

...How clueless media applause excuses police brutality Praising a mom for beating her son suggests only violence can discipline black kids. And she doesn't feel heroic Baltimore’s “Hero Mom” has a name. It’s Toya Graham. And the woman lionized nationwide for beating her 16-year-old son on camera, and dragging him away from Monday night’s riots, doesn’t feel at all like a hero. “I don’t. I don’t,” Graham told CBS “This Morning” on Wednesday. “My intention was just to get my son and have him be safe.” Later in the interview, Graham confesses, “I just lost it.” (Watch the whole thing...

Toya Graham made international news for her reaction to catching her son Michael taking part in riots in Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray. She was hailed as a hero and soon after videos surfaced of her disciplining her son for his actions, she was being called #MomOfTheYear. I spent the day in Baltimore, the day after the riots that ripped the city apart. We were in West Baltimore, a poor area of the city that got hit badly by looters and vandals, and it was hard to miss some incredibly sad things. I saw a man who was nearly lit on fire by the protesters who torched his pizza shop.

The IDF said in an official statement that it will not "tolerate any attempt to harm or violate Israeli sovereignty." A woman has gotten the attention of the country for texting during the national anthem at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Not only has it been discovered that this woman works at a major news outlet, she offered up an excuse for her behavior: She was just taking notes. The woman turns out to be a Washington Post columnist named Helena Andrews, and she writes for “The Fix.” She offered up an excuse for her behavior on Twitter, and then appears to have thrown in a bit of snark that did not go unnoticed: Her tweet drew a backlash from...

Kudos to TheDC’s Kerry Picket for spotting the significance of this Hillary Clinton quote: “Laws [about reproductive health care and safe childbirth] have to be backed up with resources and political will,” Clinton said. “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.” If one is to assume that “reproductive health care” rights are a euphemism for abortion (a fairly safe assumption), then this is quite telling. Maybe it’s because she was speaking to a friendly audience (at the Women in The World Summit), but this honest appraisal is a reminder that politics are downstream from...

The family of the convicted marathon bomber is in America, on your tax dollars, and survivors are outraged after learning the news. As of Thursday, family members of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have been staying at the Hampton Inn in Revere under very tight security, just one of the things tax dollars are paying for. FOX25's Sharman Sacchetti investigated how much this trip is costing you. Sources say these family members are being called as witnesses and not only that, at least three agencies are working around the clock to protect and transport them. This is all part of the defense team's...

Offended by satire, incorrect costuming, and inappropriate feather placement, a group of about a dozen American Indian actors walked off the set of an Adam Sandler comedy Wednesday, according to a report in Indian Country. Apparently, the actors were shocked to learn that Indians would not be inoculated from satire in the “Ridiculous Six” Western spoof, and that a comedy film wasn’t terribly interested in historical accuracy. Things came to a head when one of the producers told one of the actors, “If you guys are so sensitive, you should leave.” [emphasis added] Approximately a dozen Native actors and actresses,...

Five cast members of the upcoming Ferguson stage play abruptly quit this week after reading the play’s script, which recreates the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown by police officer Darren Wilson using testimony taken from the grand jury proceedings in the case. According to the Los Angeles Times, the cast members quit the production after learning the true circumstances surrounding Brown’s death. Playwright and producer Phelim McAleer told Breitbart News that the script is based strictly on grand jury testimony, with “nothing added. No dialogue, no characters.” “He claims that he wrote this to try to get to the...
