  • Turn in TDI Diesel or Wait Until After Election? If Trade, What to Buy?

I have a 2013 Golf TDI Diesel that I have a strong option to give back to Volkswagen. I have been waiting for the election because I have a feeling that Clinton will continue the leftist policies of crawling up gas prices. However, I have been looking for a car, just in case. My goodness! Everything out there is chock full of electronics that will make them obsolete soon. Everything out there looks like a shiny, overgrown bug. I think I need something a bit more more butch-looking. I look longingly at jeep wranglers, but I am told that they...

The following is adapted from a speech delivered on July 11, 2016, at Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C., as part of the AWC Family Foundation Lecture Series. In the Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels wrote that “the history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles.” Today the story of American politics is the story of class struggles. It wasn’t supposed to be that way. We didn’t think we were divided into different classes. Neither did Marx. America was an exception to Marx’s theory of social progress....

Trump Camp Needs to Blow Off Accusations as More Democrat Lies like the Governor Perry debacle when he was indicted by a Democrat AG and it derailed his election. Also like the accusations about Bush in the last weeks of his campaign. And any others that can be thought of. Clinton cannot run on substance so she runs on lies. Pound down how she lies and how the people who work for her lie. over and over. The only direct response to the allegations is: Of Course it's not true. over and over. Just like a lawyer. Just like Clinton....
  • What is Wrong with Clinton's Outfits? Looks Like a Moslim without the Hat

What is wrong with Hillary Clinton's outfits? I have noticed that she seems to go for the pants under dress and pants under long skirt look favored by the local modern Moslims (I use the word Moslims deliberately, it is the old spelling). At first I thought the outfits were designed to hide figure flaws or medical equipment, but the more I look at them the more I wonder whether there may be a religious component or a signaling to her Moslim Saud owners by wearing what no Western woman would ever wear in public. Your thoughts?

Thank you, Phoenix. I am so glad to be back in Arizona, a state that has a very special place in my heart. I love the people of Arizona and, together, we are going to win the White House in November. Tonight is not going to be a normal rally speech. Instead, I am going to deliver a detailed policy address on one of the greatest challenges facing our country today: immigration. I have just landed having returned from a very important and special meeting with the President of Mexico – a man I like and respect very much, and...

Is there a Moterhead ping list? So, the Soup owns one of those baaaad TDi's that the EPA want off the road. The choice is for the Soup to give it back, pay off TDI loan and have about 11K to buy another vehicle. Or wait until they announce a fix within 2 years have it fixed and walk away with 5100 probably taxable dollars. The TDI gets 50 to the gallon and is in good shape, 2013 golf standard transmission. Another factor is it has the famous Tadaka Airbag. I like the diesel and I like the power and...

So, the powers that be run the media. They determine what gets published, who gets funneled elite payola, (example, unknown Obama was given book contracts while still a student at Harvard) and who gets ignored in the media world. All of a sudden books slamming Clinton are popping up like dandelions all over the media. Telling stories that freepers have known for the past 20 years and that we have not been able to get any traction on for all those years. All of a sudden these stories are front page news. Why? The elite want to get rid of...

The Best of Memorial Day to All. This is a day off in a very busy schedule. I have been searching for a FrontPage website programmer to work with me, but all I find is legacy information about FrontPage. I KNOW I need to change platforms, but right now I need to use the platform I have. I am selling my columns nationally and need the website to back up the sales. When I have the resources, I will change things. Is there any way I can search for FrontPage Programming? Is there any group that I can find who...

Have a need to use my rickety old website. It is a 200 page FrontPage monster which has been sitting out at my ISP for quite a few years with little updating. I have recently been approached about restarting my column nationally. Am so excited! I would like to use the webpage as the vehicle and realize that it will need to be upgraded. I run WIN7. There is no extension left for Frontpage and the software currently does not recognize the website, there isn't even a screen to put in the username and code. The ISP states that FTP...

I have been a subscriber to National Review for a number of years. I have found its political content within the past few years, to be more focused on the status quo. I still read it for its film and book reviews, but it has lost a lot of ground. I also subscribe to both Chronicles and First Things and the Atlantic (to find out what the elite are supposed to think). Chronicles has always been a little bit edgy and sometimes, IMHO, a little over the top. However, I have seen that recently it has broadened its outlook and...

Manipulated Conservatives: Transgendered Bathrooms are Trivial As I watch people get involved with dramas over this issue, I think: What is it that we are not supposed to pay attention to? What is it that the elites, the media and the government don't want us to notice? Is it the loss of our history and culture with the change with monies, another knife in the gut by the Obama administration? Is it the subtlest of this election? Is it the lousy depression like statistics in some areas of the country? Is it the invasion of western Civ and our country...
  • What Are the Mental Health Effects of Climate Change?

This is the Medscape Psychiatry Minute. I'm Dr Peter Yellowlees. Human-caused climate change, with global warming, is occurring. There is no longer any doubt that heat waves are more intense and longer, and floods and storms more frequent, as the world's temperature and sea levels rise. Much has been written about the potential health impact of extreme weather events around the world, such as infectious diseases, but what about the impact of climate change on the mental health of individuals and populations? A team of investigators from Wellington, New Zealand, have reviewed this topic and concluded that extreme weather events,...
  • NYU students who back Trump afraid to show their faces

NYU’s pro-Trump students fear for their safety — and grades. They may be flooding caucus rooms across the country, but Donald Trump supporters at NYU keep their heads down, mouths shut and their correspondence secret. Lying in class about their political beliefs and keeping online conversations strictly private are typical precautions taken by The Donald’s badly outnumbered followers on campus. “Supporters generally try to keep it hidden from the rest of the student body,” said junior Dylan Perera, 22. “They’re afraid of losing friends, being ridiculed in class, getting worse grades and are even afraid of being assaulted and physically...
  • Could not break a 50 at a bank while traveling in US this week?

Went to a bank to break a 50 I had brought along for tolls, and was told that I could not do that unless I had an account. An American bank was not accepting American money! What the hell is going on? A Fifty is worth a little less than a twenty was worth in the 80's. Not much. Went to a pet store to purchase pet food, had to register to use a fifty. More of a move to get rid of money? Anyone else?

My thanks to AEI’s Council of Academic Advisers for this great honor.... ...It isn’t usually put this way, but the advent of the Obama administration brings this question before the nation: Do we want the United States to be like Europe?”And then on the evening of the twenty-fourth, President Obama unveiled his domestic agenda to Congress, and now everybody is putting it that way. As Charles Krauthammer observed a few days later, “We’ve been trying to figure out who Barack Obama is, where he’s really from. From Hawaii? Indonesia? The Ivy League? Chicago? Now we know: he’s a Swede.” In...
