My wife received a solicitation today from Healthcare Alliance out of Washington, DC. I had two pre-approved cards, and claims they can be used immediately to receive up to 75% off on prescriptions. It claims they're "ABSOLUTELY FREE Pharmacy Savings cards", and "There are no fees to use these cards, and you will never be charged for them".

Has anyone successfully synced Windows Live calendar with Google calendar? I have a tried various methods that come up in a Google search, but none work. Ultimately,I want my Windows Live calendar to sync with my Android (google) tablet. But the only apps I can find for Android (Hotmail + Seven) and Remo Sync have their own problems. Hotmail installs on Andriod and links to my Windows Live calendar (as well as Google). And my Windows Live calendar then displays on my Android. But, if I turn off my Android and reboot at a later time, the sync is gone....

Maywood, California has fallen to the Reconquista, having a 96% Hispanic population, largely consisting of illegal aliens. Consequently, it disbanded the police department’s traffic division, lest it inconvenience illegal aliens who characteristically drive without licenses, often blind drunk. Then it took the next step by disbanding the police department altogether. Los Angeles has also fallen to the Reconquista, having elected as mayor Antonio Villaraigosa of the radical anti-American outfit MEChA.

Subject: IT'S NEWLY ISSUED BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS A PROVEN FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you all know, Donald Trump made a big deal about Obama's birth certificate. As of yesterday, the White House released the birth certificate. I will tell you right now that I had never given this "birther" issue any credit. I watched the hype and the crazies come out. I completely dismissed the entire ordeal altogether. In fact, it was not until the White House released the birth certificate that it had gained my attention. I am the studious sort of guy, and I have plenty of time on my...

U.S. National Intelligence Director James Clapper told lawmakers here that drug-related violence in Mexico poses a security threat to the United States and acknowledged that the system in place to prevent a potential terrorist from penetrating the U.S. southwestern border is not "iron-clad." During an appearance Thursday before the Senate Armed Forces Committee, Clapper reiterated the U.S. government's position that drug trafficking and the prevalence of drug cartels in Mexico is a "matter of national security interest in both countries." • Halvorson has tough campaign ahead of her

Illinois District 11 Representative Debbie Halvorson is running full-tilt into the 2010 November election. Unfortunately for her, she's running full-tilt into the brick wall that is Adam Kinzinger. With his wildly popular support from area Tea Party groups to his landslide Primary victory, over 60% of the vote, you would think he is definitely an opponent to contend with. Surprisingly though, very little has been heard from the Halvorson camp concerning her opponent. The average voter may assume she's just running a 'clean' campaign and that may be the case, however it's also possible that she just can't find anything...

If you’re like of lot of Windows users out there, you skipped Vista and are still running XP on your computer. You’ve been waiting for October 22 and now that it’s here you’re ready to try Windows 7. You’re system is relatively new, about three- to four-years old, and you’ve run Microsoft’s Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and your hardware is well on par with Windows 7’s requirements. However, you’re not quite ready to give up XP just yet. Maybe you have some applications that failed the Upgrade Advisor’s compatibility check or maybe you got burned during the Vista debacle. No...

I was recently given a Blackberry Pearl by a friend who updated to a new Storm. I already have a Palm Centro I upgraded to a couple months ago, but he knew my propensity to mess with "stuff" and I gladly accepted. Perhaps my experience over the past couple days can be helpful to other FReepers. I've used Palm devices for some years. I've always synced the devices with Microsoft Outlook (2000). No problem. Before ever considering activating the Pearl (no, I don't really need another phone line) I wanted to see how well it interacts with Outlook, and its...

ROCHELLE — While family, friends and collegues struggle to cope with the untimely death of Marian Beguin on Tuesday afternoon, they are also remembering her as a fun-loving individual who cherished her relationships and lived life to the fullest, both personally and professionally. Beguin, 54, of Rochelle, died Tuesday after the car she was riding in was struck by a semi-truck driver who ran a red light at the intersection of IL Route 38 and Caron Road. “She was just a warm, loving person with many friends. She touched so many lives. It’s so unfair and she’s going to be...

This a.m. I received an email from a friend with a couple cartoons regarding the Chaney incident the weekend before last. I replied by sending him a few more cartoons I'd gotten off FreeRepublic. Apparently he forwarded my reply to a common acquaintance who's a real leftie. Well, this leftie then sent it back to me with some remarks that set me off. It's all below (except for the cartoons). First there's his email (which got me boiling), then my return response: ----- Original Message ----- [NAME] [EMAIL] wrote: We talked about how hard it was to come back from...

Below is an email I received from a distant cousin this a.m. Below it is my initial response. I seem to recall hearing that Air America was under investigation for misusing public monies or some such violation. If anyone has information about this, I'd love to email my 'Moonbat' cousin with the details; or perhaps similar stories that pertain to 'Moonbat' stupidity. If a 'Moonbat' wants to get me into a political discussion, using Air America garbage is NOT the way to go about it. -----Original Message-----[FROM] [TO] ommitted for privacy reasons Subject: State of the Union WARNING: The Republicans...
