Heard in the car at the end of the Don Wade & Roma show this a.m. Judy Baar Topinka, Republican candidate for governor of Illinois, will be on their show tomorrow a.m., 3/9/2006. I checked the website but it doesn't list a time for the interview. Sorry!

WLS looks like a good station to listen to online. I think I'll suggest the link to my favorite streaming audio linkbank.

Thanks for the linkbank link (I guess that's grammatical). I added it to my 'media' bookmarks.

"I love WLS! From Don and Roma to Roe in the afternoon."

Agreed. WLS is the only radio I listen to any more. There's no music on that suites my taste so it's either WLS or Cd's.

Please, Don Wade and Roma are head and shoulders ahead of that ditzy Roe Conn/artist who has an attention span of a milli-second.

I don't expect great intellectual insight from Roe. But he makes me laugh. I liked the show so much better though when Garry was still there.

I agree. Roe's "greatest achievement"
9in his own mind) is his rendition
of Michael Jackson's voice. Pathetic.

I agree as well.

I just switch to Michael Medved when he starts to annoy me too much.

Unfortunately, my friend, Bill Brady has his sights set on a Senate run in 2008.

Which means he may succeed in bleeding just enough likely otherwise Oberweis voters to have a better-than-expected showing, and lock Topinka's victory in.

I think that's the plan.

Of course Judy "The Anointed One" isn't worth a bucket of warm spit as far as I'm concerned.

She's a tax raiser.

She's anti-gun.

She has no policy on illegal aliens other than pander.

She's pro-abortion.

4 strikes and you're out baby.

It's Judas support of corruption that finds the price of other Republicans who agree with us on at least some issues.

The only way to win on the issues is to end the corruption. We unite around good government. Of course, by definition, corruption is the waste of taxpayer money on efforts that are none of the government's business.

UNITY UNITY UNITY

I have the audio from both the Brady and Topinka visits to the Don & Roma show on WLSAM. Oberweis is supposed to be their guest tomorrow, 3/10. I should be able to get that audio also. If anyone is interested, I can email it (they're 8 - 10 Mb each thus far) or you can sign up as in 'Insider' and download them yourselves.

I heard Topinka this morning.
Just out of curiosity, who are you supporting?

Oberweis. I'm also curious about Brady but at this point believe Oberweis has a far better chance. The problem I have with the two of them is that Brady may likely siphon enough votes from Oberweis to give Topinka the win.

Here where I live, Rochelle, IL, there doesn't seem to be much political interest. I've only seen a couple Oberweis signs, and my first Brady sign yesterday. By this time in the cycle there'd usually be signs all over the place. I have yet to see a Blago sign but that's probably because the Dims figure him for a shoe-in.

"When is Oberweis coming on?"

The schedule doesn't give specifics; only that he's scheduled for today.

Here's the schedule on their website:

State Senator Bill Brady
Monday, March 6, 2006
Andy Martin
Tuesday, March 7, 2006
Ron Gidwitz
Wednesday, March 8, 2006
State Treasurer Judy Baar Topinka
Thursday, March 9, 2006
Jim Oberweis
Friday, March 10, 2006
Edwin Eisendrath
Tuesday, March 13, 2006

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I really think Roma is much more "ditzy" than Roe Conn. Roe's show sometimes gets slow, but I think he has a great ability to paint a picture on the radio using only words. Remeber also that Roe's show is strickly mindless entertainment, DW & R is more politically oriented.
