Alexander Nazaryan, senior writer for Newsweek, on social media Wednesday compared the Cruz campaign in Iowa to the Nazi Beer Hall Putsch in a gross Tweet featuring the Nazi swastika flag. Eventually, Nazaryan deleted the tweet. He then tweeted an "explanation" for why he deleted it (but not an apology). Do note that the tweet was there for about nine hours before he finally decided he was tired of people replying to it and deleted it to save his mentions column. Not a word of apology in this tweet.

Ibrahim Qosi, also known as Sheikh Khubayb al Sudani, formerly of a cell in Guantanamo Bay, is now a leader with Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) operating in Yemen. Today, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) took to the Senate floor to advocate for the changing of the name of the street on which the Chinese Embassy stands to Liu Xiaobo Plaza. Currently, the name of the street is International Place. The move was done quickly, mostly because the President of China is coming to the United States tomorrow. As Kim Davis was released from jail today, she stood outside with Gov. Mike Huckabee and her attorney Matt Staver as they answered a few questions from the press. During the impromptu presser, Staver claimed that it is not Kim Davis who broke the law, but rather the clerks issuing licenses in her absence. Davis, through Staver, has taken the position that all the licenses issued since her refusal are invalid under the law, and that furthermore, she would have been breaking the law if she had issued them absent any direction from state lawmakers in Kentucky:
