Bristol Palin knocks it out of the park in her faith-base, pro-American blog: I know not all law enforcement is ethically correct (we have crooks everywhere), but I cannot even imagine how much more protocols they will have to follow during an investigation of anyone who isnt white. Not everything is race based and most police, and law enforcement in general, are just trying to do their jobs. Let them do their jobs, and stop looking for reasons to cause riots.

There are two key characters in this story, John Cabot, a sailor, and Richard Amerike, a Bristol business man. Unfortunately, neither left much of themselves for us to see or read: no portrait, nothing in their own writing, no detailed contemporary record of themselves or their work. There is, however, enough recorded to know that they both achieved things of lasting importance; one very directly, the other less obviously but in its way even more portentous: Cabot awakened the world to the existence of the North American continent, and Amerike gave his name and badge to what, in time, was...

Dear Bristol, I so wish you and I could have this conversation on a long girls' night in. Youd get a babysitter for Tripp, Id bring the popcorn, and wed hang in our pajamas and watch Heathers. Afterwards, wed paint each others toenails, and Id tell you how great your chin looks.
