A student used to lead a rendition after certificates had been handed out at Bristol University.
But since last year graduates at the institution — ranked ninth in the UK — have not sung it. God Save the King will now be played only when a representative of the Royal Family is present.
University bosses have been accused of hating British culture and pandering to wokes.

I wonder what’s next. Maybe Bristol University will ban the Union Jack because one person complains about it.
I’ve thought the university system needed an update as far back as 1979. It turns out a product stuffed with largely useless knowledge and few actual skills. When I hiring graduates none of them came in with skills I actually needed.
Time for all of us to stand up to WOKE bullies - - UK included...

I think what we saw from our great university presidents was refreshing. Sort of the DEI Perl Harbor attack on academia. No one can deny what evil rules these universities now. Their degress are worthless and their moral bankruptcy is now undeniable. Are you bankrupt? No. Some of our checks clear. It depends upon context. Our checks to the mafia clear. Checks to honest businessmen, not so much.
It’s the Marxist methodology: destroy the existing culture, and build the new paradise on the ruins. It’s being done in all Western cultures.

So true. The proper response to any woke complaint should be, “If you don’t like it, remove yourself from the situation.”
Instead it’s, “We are very sorry that we offended you. We will immediately get rid of everything you object to.”
They’ll be singing the Muslim, “Kill The Jews” anthem soon anyway.
One day, in the near future, they’ll long to hear it again - as the droning moans of the Call To Prayer will fill the air, everywhere.

Unfortunately, I think it’s more likely that Western society will behave like that frog in a pot of slowly heated water. We’ll just adjust to each new outrage.
However, things might improve should a new Ronald Reagan or Margaret Thatcher appear on the scene. So you never know.
WOKE filth is a bottomless pit of ‘need’. Anything anyone does for them isn’t enough and the evil they do is endless.
It’s time to tell them to go home to their rich daddies and to leave the rest of us alone . They don’t represent anyone except the spoiled over-indulged brats of corrupt white liberal ‘elites’... and they can shove their Marxism while they’re at it.

Yep. If you give in to one woke demand, they will demand two things more.
I really don’t know how this will all play out. Perhaps we’ll end up living in a dull, gray, zombie society, something like Brezhnev’s Russia. To protect your job, you’ve got to say the right things.
Or at least don’t object.
