Americans prefer to work for male bosses instead of female bosses, according to Gallup, whose survey also showed that at least 40% of women prefer a male boss. In the survey, which Gallup has conducted since 1953, adults 18 and older were asked, “Suppose you were taking a new job and had your choice of a boss. The manager of a Faro-based supermarket chain today shot an employee, wounding him in the arm. The incident occurred about 05.00a.m. at a warehouse in Galvanas that services the ‘Algartalhos’ supermarket chain. It is thought that the employee was caught with an accomplice stealing stock. The manager saw two employees, and, in breach of disciplinary procedures, fired at one of them, winging him.
