Missouri's statewide voter registration computer system has been down, creating delays in verifying voter registrations, according to local election officials. "This issue is with Internet access to the voter look-up function," Laura Egerdal, spokeswoman for Missouri's secretary of state, told Fox News. The DSCC is moving TV ad money out of Missouri, a sign that the Senate race may be moving beyond Democrats' grasp. JEFFERSON CITY -- One poll in the U.S. Senate race for Missouri this week has Republican Roy Blunt topping 50 percent support for the first time in the race. Another poll this week has Blunt in a statistical dead heat with Democrat Robin Carnahan. As can be expected this time of the election year, both camps are trying to make hay with each poll. The one that came out first, by Rasmussen, showed Blunt widening the lead he has had in several other polls, including the Post-Dispatch poll.

In January of 2009 four-term US Senator Kit Bond (R-Missouri) announced he would not seek re-election in November, 2010. That made the Show Me State one of five with open seats Republicans will most likely need to hold if they want to take control of the Senate.
