Excellent - is that a pickup or a hold?

It’s a pickup: Blunt is a Republican defeating the Dem Carnahan.

It’s a hold; the retiring Senator is a Republican.

No, it's a hold.

Blunt is replacing the retiring Kit Bond(R).

And Blunt is no prize, conservatively speaking. Our real conservative senator, Jim Talent, was defeated by McCaskill in 2006. Missouri may be full of conservative midwesterners but they are Democrat to the core and fall for every slick-talking Dimmie that comes down the line.

Personally I'm shocked a Carnahan actually lost this race. We only dodged that bullet because of Robin's gross incompetence and a campaign that tied her firmly to President Trainwreck.

“No, it’s a hold.”

I’ll take it anyway.

It’s a pickup for Blunt - Kit Bond’s seat since he retired. But it’s a hold for the Republicans. Blunt was, I believe, minority whip in the House. As I said earlier, it’s a great victory over the far left Carnahan dynasty.

AGREE!!! These victories are DELICIOUS. She had no business in politics anyway.
