BOSTON (AP) -- Lawsuits filed Monday against Harvard University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill argue that affirmative action policies should be banned at colleges across the nation. The federal suits allege Harvard and UNC rely on race-based affirmative action policies that impact admissions of high-achieving white and Asian American students. The Harvard lawsuit also contends that the Ivy League university specifically limits the number of Asian Americans it admits each year. The Project on Fair Representation, an Alexandria, Virginia-based legal defense fund, said Monday's filings will be the first in a series of legal challenges against...

White, white, white. With the 2014 elections at hand, the white and black oppressors of the Left are seeking to agitate, enrage and scare the 90 % of the black Democratic voters to vote in this up coming election. The Left is horrified of losing their political strangle hold and power and truly care nothing about black America. Black America, may I ask you a very important question as one human being to another - who are made in the image and likeness of the Almighty; what has the Democratic Party ever done for you? What have they ever done? They have only...

This is a fantastic 5-minute video of a black man at a Republican campaign office talking about his journey from being a Democrat to becoming a conservative. Having gone on the same journey seven years ago, I’m ever-intrigued by what causes this shift. And more importantly, how to nurture it in others. In this case, the gentleman in the video was a Democrat because (1) he is black and therefore liberal party alliance is automatic, and (2) he had a long-held belief that the Democratic Party was the party for everyday people. But then, several years ago, he had a...

Earlier this week, Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman wrote about the ongoing saga in Seattle in the wake of the Percy Harvin trade. Specifically, some Seahawks players think third-year quarterback Russell Wilson is too close to the front office, and doesn't always take blame for his mistakes. Then there's this: "There is also an element of race that needs to be discussed," Freeman wrote. "My feeling on this -- and it's backed up by several interviews with Seahawks players -- is that some of the black players think Wilson isn't black enough." We talked about Wilson's blackness on the Eye on...

Liberal umbrage-monger David Corn– of the Mitt Romney 47% and the Rand Paul hates Dick Cheney video fame– says the difficulty with making African-Americans angry enough to vote against Republican “intimidation” tactics is that they don’t realize they’re being intimidated… Chris Matthews: What about the attempt to intimidate them out of voting? Corn: Well, that’s true. It’s happening…and when you do that– when people wanna vote or they’re thinking about voting in an election– they do get ticked off and it motivates them. But…they are so disaffected or so distant from this election that they may not even know that...

As the reasons behind the Seahawks’ decision to trade Percy Harvin are continually analyzed, more information about the dynamics of the team’s locker room are being reported. In the latest report, it is suggested that there was a divide in the locker room among Seahawks supporting Russell Wilson and players who supported Harvin. The report says that as the chasm grew, the Seahawks decided they had to trade Harvin before things became more fractured. Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman, who explores the trade and locker room dynamic in Seattle, gives several reasons why some players have issues with Wilson, and he...

Research confirms that the “acting white” charge is a real problem that intimidates some black students. Our job is to confront it. As kids go back to school this week, when it comes to black ones, it’s time to do some myth-busting. This week’s topic: black teens calling their nerdy black peers “white” for liking school. It’s a problem, because too often, black kids who want to fit in end up letting their grades slip. The social scientists John Ogbu and Signithia Fordham first called attention to this phenomenon in the 1980s. But over the past 10 years, a myth...
