I am on HB visa and using Medicaid benefits for 12 months. I intend to marry a US citizen and I understand that she will be responsible for paying back the medical services I used. Would it help if my get off the program now before we get married...my wrong-doing? Also does my use of Medicaid prevent my adjustment of status from H1B to green card? Expert Judith answers: The law requires you to be paid at least the prevailing wage. How do you qualify for the means tested benefits?

If the presidential election were the Olympics, bed-wetting would be a sport and Democrats would be the undisputed gold-medal winners. Every four years, they grouse about their nominee and then freak out when a race they believe said nominee should win looks as though it’s lost. Remember what happened when President Obama muffed the first debate with Mitt Romney in 2012? And today, the closing poll numbers between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have Democrats in a near panic. Look, I get it. The race between Clinton and Trump should not even be close. Or, as my colleague Eugene Robinson...

It’s not just conservatives pushing the idea that the Democratic nominee is sicker than she admits. Some conservatives are hard at work spreading conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton’s health in an attempt to disqualify her from seeking higher office. Video footage of the Democratic nominee stumbling as she abruptly departed a 9/11 memorial on Sunday, combined with news that she had contracted pneumonia, has fueled rumors on the right that Clinton may be concealing a far worse medical condition. But it’s not just conservatives indulging in wild speculation. At least some die-hard supporters of Bernie Sanders are echoing, and in...

The latest LA Times/USC Nationwide Tracking poll has Donald Trump ahead of Hillary Clinton by six points! Maybe that poll is an outlier, a blip, mistaken in some way. And yet it’s not terribly out of step with other general election polls that have Trump ahead, even, or just a little behind. Sure, polls go up and down during a race, and maybe Trump’s lead will evaporate now that Clinton is back on the campaign trail, demonstrating that her collapse at the 9-11 event was not as serious as it seemed. But what if the lead doesn’t evaporate? What if...

A sinkhole has opened up at a fertilizer plant in the US, causing about 260 million US gal of radioactive water to contaminate a part of Florida's main sources of drinking water. The sinkhole, which is about 15. yd in diameter, collapsed beneath a pile of waste material called a “gypsum stack”. Sitting on top of that stack was a storage pond containing phosphogypsum, which is a radioactive byproduct resulting from the production of phosphate.

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky’s Republican governor said blood might be shed if Democrat Hillary Clinton is elected president. Speaking to the annual Values Voter Summit on Saturday in Washington, Bevin said he was asked if the country could ever recover if Clinton were elected president. “I do think it would be possible, but at what price? At what price? The roots of the tree of liberty are watered by what? The blood, of who? The tyrants to be sure, but who else. The patriots,” Bevin said, referencing a quote from Thomas Jefferson....

Today, with Hillary's health a hot topic of discussion, I am wondering about the rules for the upcoming debates. Does anyone know whether these debates, which I believe are 90 minutes long, will require the candidates to stand, as is usual? If Hillary isn't feeling quite up to it and sits, what will the impact be? Would DJT stand? Would it be spoken of as "bullying", like when Al Gore puffed out his chest and walked into GWB's personal space (GWB handled it very well, by the way), or when Rick Laszlo was "mean" to Hillary during a debate in...

The Democratic nominee dogged by rumors of her deteriorating health after footage emerged of her coughing and gasping for air for nearly five minutes and suffering what seems like a seizure had another ‘medical episode’ on Sunday. Hillary Clinton nearly collapsed on Sunday morning abruptly being swept away from a Ground Zero ceremony to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11 with a half dozen staffers holding her up to prevent her from slamming head first into the pavement as she was dragged into a black van. The video, posted on Twitter, shows the former Secretary of State wobbling back and...

A woman and her daughter are facing incest charges after authorities learned the pair were legally married in Oklahoma this year, and that the mother had married her son a few years earlier. The motivation behind the March marriage was unclear Wednesday, when 43-year-old Patricia Ann Spann and her daughter, 25-year-old Misty Velvet Dawn Spann, made initial appearances in Stephens County district court. Under Oklahoma law, marrying a close relative is considered incest whether or not a sexual relationship exists. …

Trump’s narrative of American decline has captured a bitter and embattled middle class. How can we explain Donald Trump’s rise? Certainly a number of contingent factors helped propel him to the top of the Republican ticket: the GOP establishment failed to correctly grasp the mood of the party’s most fervent supporters; the party leadership refused to consolidate behind a candidate; Trump mostly self-funded his campaign; and presidential hopefuls like Marco Rubio and Scott Walker proved they weren’t ready for prime time. But the confluence of these events shouldn’t obscure the fact that the emergence of a nominee like Trump —...

Every generation is perceived as weaker than the one that bore them. There is some truth to that, but there are acceptable reasons for the decline in physical strength. First off I do not and most likely never will work as hard as my father did and I know I never came close to how hard my grandfather worked. The truth is I never wanted to physically work as hard as my Grandpa Edgar did. He was a dirt poor share cropper in north Missouri who lost his entire crop in 1934 and 1936. There were no tractors to do...

Pamela Anderson is speaking out against pornography. “This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays,” she penned in a joint op-ed with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach in Thursday’s Wall Street Journal. The unlikely pair wrote the piece in the wake of Anthony Weiner‘s latest sext scandal, in which he was caught sending a crotch shot in the presence of his young son.

Until that moment on Fox News, Jessica Disu hadn't considered herself a police abolitionist. But on July 11, she was on national television, surrounded by 29 other people convened by Megyn Kelly to discuss the recent killings of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and several Dallas police officers. "I was under the impression that it would be a robust and productive conversation, even though it was Fox News," says 27-year-old Disu, who identifies herself as a "humanitarian rap artist and peace activist" and is involved with various organizations serving youth on the south side. She prepared her message before going on...

I think the Saudi goose is getting cooked. Folks, the following has been going on in Saudi Arabia. The ground war has now come inside Saudi Arabia. Yemeni forces are poised around Najran. Since June this year the US has steadily been cutting off arms, bombs, weapons and support to the Saudi aggression on Yemen. The US has cancelled a tank deal to replace Abrams tanks destroyed by the Yemenis. Resupply of cluster bombs have also been cancelled. Now military advisors have been withdrawn from Saudi Arabia. Here is the news :

Nearly four years after a deadly massacre where a lone gunman killed 27, including 20 students, at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Ct., a rebuilt school is set to repoen next month. Four years before Hillary Clinton became the first woman to mathematically capture a major U.S. political party’s presidential nomination, a staff member on Rick Santorum’s 2012 presidential campaign posed a question in an email that shocked many people: “Is it God’s highest desire, that is, his biblically expressed will, … to have a woman rule the institutions of the family, the church, and the state?” God’s will or not, in 2016, it’s all that much closer to coming to fruition. Clinton is poised to be nominated for president by the Democratic Party next week. And so religious hard-liners of all...
