On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) stated that to fix the supply chain problems and get the economy moving, “we’ve got to make sure that we get the vaccines out, not just in our country, but all over the world.” Klobuchar also stated that another part of the solution is “immigration reform in areas like in my state, where, if you have shortages, getting those visas going again.” And that “Doing something about a path to citizenship and finally getting this done would be a major game-changer for our country. Because through the Trump years,...

A tech and telecom staffer for Sen. Amy Klobuchar announced she is leaving her staff to join Apple, the news coming just hours after the Minnesota Democrat slammed Big Tech for having “literally hired so many people” in Washington, DC. April Jones, the deputy legislative director and counsel for Klobuchar on tech and telecom issues, will be joining Apple as a senior government affairs policy counsel, according to Politico. The announcement came Wednesday, one day after Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen spoke in front of the Senate Commerce Committee’s consumer protection subcommittee, blasting her former employer and calling for government regulators...

Senate Democrats have reached an agreement on a new set of federal voting rules again, but this time it is more worrisome for Republicans because a key Democrat is on board. In fact, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, who has not been a fan of previous voting bills, spearheaded this effort along with Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and a group of cosponsors, NPR reported. The package is the latest attempt by Democrats to counteract Republican-led measures at the state level to restrict voting access and alter election administration. The new legislation, unveiled Tuesday morning by Minnesota Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar...

VIDEOWatch FBI Director Cristopher Wray answering questions from Senator Amy Klobuchar about the Capitol breach on January 6. When she points out how unprepared the FBI seemed to be despite the fact that all you had to be was a sentient being to know there would be problems there that day, Wray seems very oddly satisfied to the point of appearing to be almost giddy. A very strange reaction especially when compared the his extremely defensive attitude when he was questioned about FISA abuses by the FBI.

Internet platforms such as Facebook and Google will be required to take down vaccine misinformation under proposals to be announced on Thursday by two Democrat senators. Amy Klobuchar, senator for Minnesota, and New Mexico's Ben Ray Lujan's bill will add to the stack of legislation going after Section 230 - a law that protects tech companies from being sued over content posted by users. If the internet platforms do not take down health and vaccine-related misinformation during public health emergencies, they would be held liable for that failure.

Rodelli, who works for the investment research firm CFRA, put the chances at 55 per cent in Epic's favour. Apple, he said, had lost credibility by pleading ignorance on key questions, while Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers appeared to be more interested in present-day business facts than older legal precedents -- a plus for Epic, which has conceded its case lies on the "frontiers" of antitrust theory...Amit Daryanani, Evercore ISI -- If Epic can convince the court that Apple devices are a singular market unto themselves, it would likely carry the day. We think this is relatively unlikely...."Bornstein conducted the best...

In 2008, shortly after becoming a U.S. senator, Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and her husband, John Bessler, began renting a house in Arlington, Virginia, from Chuck Todd, then NBC News’ political director. I unveil the ties between Todd and Democratic campaigns in my explosive new book, Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruptions.

House Republican leadership removed Rep. Liz Cheney, (R-Wyo.), from her leadership position, a position her indignant liberal defenders likely did not even know existed until days ago. Cheney became Republican roadkill when she not only voted to impeach then-President Donald Trump but also became a vocal critic of his alleged "big lie" about the 2020 election. Cue the fake outrage by Democrats and the media. A CNN headline read in part: "Ousted Cheney Warns Direction of the Party is 'Dangerous.'" MSNBC wrote, "The GOP infighting reached a turning point after Republicans ousted Congresswoman Liz Cheney from her leadership position." PBS...

As per the norm, Democrats simply cannot resist the opportunity to preen before the cameras and lecture Republicans who raised questions about the 2020 election results on how their actions were a dangerous affront to democracy and all that despite the fact that Democrats, too, voiced objections after Republican presidential nominees were declared the winners in 2001, 2005, and 2017.Such was the case earlier today as members of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee met to consider S.1 – the so-called “For the People” Act, which Democrats claim will “expand Americans’ access to the ballot box, reduce the influence of...

Three Democratic U.S. senators on Monday said they are introducing legislation that would require U.S. regulators to mandate installation of driver-monitoring systems to ensure motorists pay attention while using systems like Tesla's Autopilot.Senators Ed Markey, Richard Blumenthal and Amy Klobuchar introduced the measure on Monday, saying they hope to get it included as part of infrastructure reform legislation. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened 28 probes into Tesla crashes to date, with 24 pending, where Autopilot was suspected of being in use.The measure also requires the agency "to study how driver-monitoring systems can prevent driver distraction, driver disengagement,...

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) this week claimed that President Trump is “trying to burn this country down on his way out” of office by not supporting the new coronavirus stimulus and government funding bill passed by Congress on Monday. In an appearance on Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show Tuesday night, Klobuchar responded to the president’s remarks shared on Twitter earlier in the day, in which he called the $2.3 trillion package that includes stimulus checks of $600 to Americans “a disgrace,” adding that the payments should be increased to $2,000. The Minnesota senator and former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate told Maddow...

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies met today. Since 1901, this committee composed of the House Majority and Minority Leader, the House Speaker, the House Majority and Minority Leaders, and a chairman chosen by the Senate, has been responsible for designating a theme for the inauguration and setting a schedule of events.(Did you know inaugurations have themes? I didn’t. In case you have even the tiniest bit of curiosity, this year’s theme is “Our Determined Democracy: Forging a More Perfect Union;” Good luck with that sh**.) Not much got accomplished. Congressional Republican leaders rejected a resolution that asserted that...

Election tech company Dominion Voting Systems is rebutting assorted claims of partisan bias and voting manipulation in the 2020 election, including rumors of a secret U.S. military raid on purported servers in Germany and ownership interests and other influence in the firm by prominent Democratic families. At the same time, Dominion has confirmed reports it made a donation to the Clinton Foundation and hired a former Nancy Pelosi staffer as a lobbyist. Dominion has been at the center of a firestorm since Nov. 3, when its election management software, which is widely used across the country, led to an unofficial...

Rarely has our nation seen a judge more competent and qualified to serve on the Supreme Court than Amy Coney Barrett. During her confirmation hearing, she held me in thrall with the magnificence of her mind. Only once before has anyone inspired the thought, "Greatness walks amongst us." His name is Trey Gowdy. In Amy Coney Barrett, I feel the same awe and chills once again. With Amy's confirmation, Lady Justice will no longer peek from underneath her blindfold. No longer will there be a finger surreptitiously pushing down on one side of her Scales of Justice. When Barrett's Senate...

VIDEO Last May, the DUmmie FUnnies was the FIRST to break the story about Amy Klobuchar admitting that her husband was treated with hydroxychloroquine for his severe case of Coronavirus. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) told CNN’s “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper on Sunday that Democratic nominee former Vice President Joe Biden will win in November due to a “literal revolution going on” of people who “have had it” with President Donald Trump. When asked about the Affordable Care Act case that the Supreme Court is slated to hear, Klobuchar said, “First of all, that case has been discredited and strongly criticized by people all over the spectrum as that case comes to the Supreme Court. Secondly, the justices could do many different things, and I could take up...

All but three Senate Democrats now openly support infanticide of babies who manage to be born alive despite an attempted abortion.  A total of 60 votes were needed to overcome a promised filibuster, and the measure gained only 53 votes.  But the field of presidential contenders from the Senate are now all on the record.  As the Washington Post notes: All of the announced 2020 Democratic presidential candidates — Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.), Cory Booker (N.J.), Kamala D. Harris (Calif.), Amy Klobuchar (Minn.), Elizabeth Warren (Mass.) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) — voted "no." Senator Ben Sasse's sponsorship of the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and Mitch McConnell's...

Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said on Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week” people were “not safe in Donald Trump’s America,” citing an “increase in hate crimes” and the coronavirus pandemic. Klobuchar said, “I have long condemned looting, violence, threats. That’s not peaceful protest, and I don’t care who’s engaging in it. You condemn it, and of course, Joe Biden has clearly condemned it, but let’s step back. This isn’t just happening in one place. It’s happening all over the country. It is happening under Donald Trump’s watch. What is going on? We have innocent people like George Floyd shot by...

The first completely digital Democratic National Convention in American history kicked off Monday night, gifting CNN and MSNBC viewers two hours of the Democratic message, and CNN, MSNBC, and Fox viewers with all or much of the second hour. Designed to be part concert, part political commercial, and part digital pep rally, the evening contained easily recognized aspects of a normal rally as well as some surprising imagery for a 2020 Democratic Convention, but above all fell flat, coming across as both dour and canned, and suffering greatly from the absence of a boisterous crowd.Politicians giving speeches peppered with...
