Internet platforms such as Facebook and Google will be required to take down vaccine misinformation under proposals to be announced on Thursday by two Democrat senators.
Amy Klobuchar, senator for Minnesota, and New Mexico's Ben Ray Lujan's bill will add to the stack of legislation going after Section 230 - a law that protects tech companies from being sued over content posted by users.
If the internet platforms do not take down health and vaccine-related misinformation during public health emergencies, they would be held liable for that failure.

Misinformation like:
15 days to slow the spread?
Masks work?
Covid jabs are safe?
Fauci didn’t fund the creation of Covid?
How quick they are to regulate high tech when it is in their own interest.
So I can expect the CDC to be banned
I cringe when I think that my mom thought highly of her during the 2020 campaign.
Maybe they could make a Senator rule...if they provide misinformation...suspension from the Senate for ten days. After the 3rd suspension in a year....carve off 10-percent of their retirement?
What a hypocritical cow.
And what do these fascist idiots term “misinformation”? Anything that doesn’t follow the Dimmocommie narrative to control us?
This is how they shut down Free Republic
Well I guess the main is issue is the determination of “misinformation”. Seems very politicized at this point with major flaws in what they consider valid “information”. It’s clear there’s a vast array of folks who are breakthrough victims …. Is simply pointing this fact misinformation? There have been a lot of side effects associated with the vax…. Also irrefutable but most likely “misinformation” right?
Misinformation is information they don’t agree with because its not the narrative they are pushing.
HCQ treatment saved Klobuchars husband when he was coughing blood from covid,,,,
Misinformation?
Misinformation = not current government approved information which can change at any time.
This used to be unconstitutional.
Those were the days...

Who determines what “misinformation” is?
Obviously what’s needed here is a foolproof way to separate the information from the misinformation. Haven’t heard anything yet on who is doing that, so I guess you just have to consider the sources & make your own determination. Then you need all the names of all the sources. A list of about 50 each on both sides of the issue might be a good source if they are recognizable names.
“If the internet platforms do not take down health and vaccine-related misinformation during public health emergencies, they would be held liable for that failure.”.............And who will make that determination???
