Following reports that Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman was under surveillance, Fox News pundits jumped to the president’s defense Tuesday, asserting that his claims the Obama administration wiretapped Trump Tower have now been vindicated. Yet they couldn’t be more wrong, said legal experts. It all goes back to Trump’s tweet on March 4 that he “found out that Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” Trump also compared it to “Nixon/Watergate,” when President Richard Nixon attempted to bug the Democratic Party headquarters. Defending Trump’s months-old claim, Fox News pundit Tucker...

Sen. Luther Strange is running from questions about his possible support for the Democrats’ huge “Dreamer” amnesty, which would provide citizenship to at least 3.3 million illegals and also cut wages in his home state of Alabama. Strange’s campaign website ducks the high-profile issue, saying only that: It is our duty to uphold and enforce immigration law. Individuals who enter our country illegally should not receive the benefits that taxpaying Americans do. . . The reported response from Strange’s office says “Currently, this [amnesty] bill is in the Senate Judiciary Committee. I do not serve on that committee, but if...

Watching this, I keep thinking of that Hillary clip from 2014 that made the rounds a few weeks ago in which she said “Just because your child gets across the border, that doesn’t mean the child gets to stay.” Conservatives pointed to that as proof that even the reigning Democratic nominee opposes a DREAM amnesty, but huffy lefties complained that Clinton was being taken out of context. She was referring to children who had *recently* crossed the border, they said, not to children who were brought here years ago and had built a life in America. Obviously Democrats don’t support...
