Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) stunned his colleagues in the Senate when he torpedoed the Republican health-care bill with a tie-breaking no vote in July. With the GOP prepared to send its latest iteration of the health-care bill to the floor sometime next week, McCain is now poised to potentially make or break the legislation yet again.

Seriously, is there any bigger jerk in congress that this piece of crap???
And why the hell is McDumb@ss still Senate “leader”????
When counting the votes, count John McCancerBrain as a solid Democrat.
Could the Republican healthcare bill kill John McCain.
America supports the Healthcare bill.
Tippecanoe and Lyndsey too.
To answer the headline question. Yes.
Look what President Trump did. Trump is a true accomplished Alpha-Male who has succeeded where Senator McCain failed miserably. McCain cannot handle failing where the superior-in-every-way Trump succeeded. I don't know if McCain was a designated loser put in that role by his owners or that a majority of voters realized he's nuts, but he lost miserably to Obama. So what's his MO?...revenge, and screw the nation if that's what it takes.
McConnell could stop this if he wanted to. Let those 'pubs who are tempted to vote against this know that they will be stripped of committee assignments.
I don't know if it's a good bill, or not. I do like it going back to the states and with no mandate because people have more scrutiny at the state level. One thing is forsure. A lot of good Republicans will be defeated next November if the 'pubs don't get their act together.
Worst case wait until Feb or so for the vote and the problem in all likelihood will be solved.
Yes,
Everyone knows McLame is a a-hole., but I think the real problem is the fact that not ONE dem supported repeal.
NOt one.
They are the ones who should be held responsible.
Besides, the “leaders” on both sides are equally horse crap.
thats because as bad as they are, they stick together on what they want to achieve as a party. and they have this silly thing called “leadership”... something we sorely lack in the senate...
What a way to be remembered, making health care affordable for working class Americans!
The insurance company bailout bill? The idea of block grants to states would be ok except.. it hasn’t worked. I was encouraged to hear the bailout bill would distribute evenly to states, but the devil is in the details. You can’t tell me that California will get one dollar for every dollar Mississippi gets! For example, Cali will go full single payer. How many taxpayer dollars will we burn bailing them out?
This bill is increased spending and we don’t even know how much. Block granting to states who already have a failing Medicaid program? I just think we are being set up.. again.theyhave had years n years to work on a plan.
When this bill goes to committee.. o my.
Why are we bailing out insurance companies? They have done nothing but deny care, even for policy holders.
Mitch and Ryan have failed to fully support the Donald.
It is apparent cause they have NO penalty if some member refuses to support.
Take away their assignments, force a move from their cushyu office and put em in a basement some place. There are ways.
The only way McCain will be remembered is as that old weird guy with the funky arm that ran for president that one time. And lost.
Come to think of it, history doesn't remember losers.
Never mind.
Lindsey Graham is lead name on the new bill precisely so they can take credit. John was upset with the previous bill due to who would get credit, not because he cared one twit about the content of the bill.
This bill deserves killing. But with Graham as a sponsor, I don’t see how McCain goes against it.
Mitch will remain Senate Leader as long as he obeys his Master
The Keating-Five’s gift that keeps on giving. The Republicans should have gotten rid of John McCain back then when they had the chance.
McCain will in the end back his butt boy Graham.
Or, Mc Cain killed the other bill in order to vote for this one.
This is why I was incredulous when McCain became the GOP choice in 2008 and why I purchased my farm in KY two weeks before the 2008 election - and I expected McCain to win.
He’s worse than Jimmy Carter and an embarrassment to his party and the nation. Trump was absolutely right about the guy. His claim to fame is that he was a lousy pilot that got shot down and survived a prison camp.
He was also part of the Keating five but nothing happened because they figured he was just a stupid dupe in that one.
