A furious backlash is building against the full-on attack by some conservative leaders led by the National Review on leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. A woman in southern California who supports Trump posted a video overnight that has captured the mood of many Trump supporters fed up with being lectured and condescended to about what it means to be “conservative.” Kambree Nelson, a businesswoman dedicated to supporting veterans and helping the homeless, recorded the 10:48 stream of consciousness rant after watching the Kelly File on Fox News feature guests from the National Review hit team against Trump trash her...

Benghazi and its aftermath in some ways exemplifies foreign policy during the Obama years: the public never get a straight answer. That is why the new movie, "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi," is so important. It answers the question the administration refuses to: What happened that night in Benghazi, Libya as Americans fought for their lives for thirteen hours against a well-coordinated attack on September 11, 2012? Yes, it's a movie and undoubtedly includes inaccuracies and exaggeration, but I'll gladly put it up for an accuracy contest against the bogus Benghazi talking points delivered on September 15, 2012,...

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A 20-year-old West Brighton man is the latest person to be charged in the heartless robbery of an armless teen. Vincent Popalardo of Henderson Avenue faces felony and misdemeanor charges that include robbery and attempted robbery, grand and petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, according to court papers. The address for Popalardo supplied by police is in the West Brighton Houses. Carlos Simon, 18, who was born without arms, had his cell phone stolen by robbers who ganged up on him outside a store in Port Richmond around 8:30 p.m. last November 30.

I am endorsing Marco Rubio for President. As a pro-life apologist, I am convinced he's the best candidate to articulate the moral vision our nation needs at this crucial moment. Both his worldview and his pro-life record affirm that endorsement. Right now as you are reading this sentence, the United States is having a huge argument over two key questions that will impact you, your children, and even your grandchildren for decades to come. How we answer these questions will do nothing less than determine the future of human equality. First, we're arguing about truth. Is moral truth real and...

The State Department on Friday sought to delay its final release of emails from Hillary Clinton's personal server, blaming a massive snowstorm hitting Washington as well as an internal "oversight." In a court filing, the department asked a federal court to delay by a month the Jan. 29 deadline for it to release the last batch of roughly 55,000 pages of Clinton's emails believed to be work-related. The emails, thousands of which have been released on a monthly basis since last year, have become a constant headache for Clinton's front-runner Democratic presidential campaign. More than 1,300 of the emails from...

He's not going to get fully pregnant, just a little bit pregnant. What's the harm in that? "I think they're warming up. I want to be honest, I have received so many phone calls from people that you would call establishment, from people - generally speaking ... conservatives, Republicans - that want to come onto our team," Trump told reporters in Las Vegas before an appearance at the Outdoor Sportsman Awards... At an earlier rally, Trump painted himself as a pragmatic dealmaker capable of working with lawmakers, in contrast with Cruz, his top rival in the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses......

Are we headed for a recession? Much of the major economic data suggest we're moving in that direction. That was the fear behind this month's global sell-off in the stock market. Clearly our economy is slowing down, and economists are forecasting that fourth-quarter growth in 2015 will be down significantly. Maybe around 1 percent, certainly less than the anemic 2 percent growth rate we've been experiencing throughout Barack Obama's failed presidency. That would move the U.S. economy into near-recession territory if it continues its slide in the first three months of this year. All the telltale signs are there. Consumers...

resident Obama called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or the so-called nuclear deal with Iran a "victory" for U.S. and international security.  Indeed, the actual text says that "full implementation…will positively contribute to regional and international peace."  Iran has since deployed its military assets to Syria, built up forces along Israel's border, twice test-fired a ballistic missile, and even unilaterally amended the agreement to loosen its own compliance requirements. The United States can expect more of this provocative behavior because a hesitant, Iran-friendly executive branch has shown little interest in exercising its self-declared authority to reinstitute sanctions.  Walk light...

  • Russia at AIDS epidemic tipping point as HIV cases pass 1 million - official

Russia's AIDS epidemic is at a dangerous tipping point after the number of people registered HIV-positive passed the 1 million mark, the country's top AIDS specialist said on Thursday, warning the rate of infection had reached record levels. Russia registered its millionth HIV-positive patient -- a 26-year-old woman in the south of the country -- on Wednesday, Vadim Pokrovsky, the head of the federal AIDS centre, told Reuters in a phone interview. But he said the real number of HIV-positive Russians could be as high as 1.5 million, or 1 percent of the population, based on his and other expert...

... In the 1960s, we rarely saw lightning or heard thunder on the Massachusetts coast. I associate electrical storms with McLean, Va., where I spent the school year when I was growing up. In Virginia, the weather also has changed dramatically. Recently arrived residents in the northern suburbs, accustomed to today's anemic winters, might find it astonishing to learn that there were once ski runs on Ballantrae Hill in McLean, with a rope tow and local ski club. Snow is so scarce today that most Virginia children probably don't own a sled. But neighbors came to our home at Hickory...

"I WENT to the heart of darkness, Orania, the notorious white Afrikaner separatist apartheid enclave in precisely the middle of SA. That, at least, given the prevailing narrative, was how I imagined it. Conceptions of Orania are so extreme that, last week, The Citizen (a newspaper created for apartheid propaganda in the 1970s), rejected a descriptive column about Orania by columnist Andrew Kenny. Having anything good to say about the place "might be interpreted … as tacit glorification of segregation and … offensive to victims of apartheid". It is not that the column was inherently offensive that was a problem...

Senator Ted Cruz was in Iowa for the Ronald Reagan Dinner and delivered a slam dunk speech. I was going to highlight a point or two, but the whole speech is so spot-on I'll just give you the video and the entire transcript. (Note, it's a rush transcript so there may be an error or two.) --- Cruz: We need to unify and let me tell you, growth and freedom are principles and ideals that should unify the entire Republican caucus. They are principles and ideals, that unify the evangelical community. With the liberty movement. With the business community. Growth...
  • Japanese Net Launcher Gun and Liquid Launcher Demonstrations

    01/22/2016 1:33:36 PM PST · by BBell · 17 replies
Here are various demonstrations and uses for net launchers and liquid launchers. These non-lethal weapons can be used to slow down or subdue criminals. When used together or used with other non-lethal weapons (such as the 2-pronged weapons called a "riot forks"), they can be very powerful tools for law enforcement, security, and individuals. Reminiscent to something you would find in a live-action superhero television show, the net launcher is a handheld device that shoots out a net projectile. The launcher is reloadable and has two different net cartridges. One type of cartridge just fires out a net. The other...
