Having anything good to say about the place "might be interpreted … as tacit glorification of segregation and … offensive to victims of apartheid". It is not that the column was inherently offensive that was a problem — it was benignly descriptive — but the presumed inclination of readers to misconstrue truth.

When asked why there is such incendiary hatred of the idea that people characterised by real or imagined racism might be relegated to an isolated dot on a map, and why it is a problem rather than a solution, former anti-apartheid revolutionary Temba Nolutshungu said: "I imagine Orania to be an oasis in a desert. Its success is its problem. If it were a failure, it would be ignored. If Orania is allowed to succeed without black labour or government largess, it will debunk two politically tenacious narratives: that whites prosper on the backs of black labour, and that civilians need government welfare."

And how long did you live in RSA? Which history books have you read about RSA? And have you even EVER been to RSA ?
The whites in South Africa didn’t employ blacks because they had to. The did it because most blacks there couldn’t employ themselves and probably to try and make peace with the local African population.
South Africa, if it had been totally white, would have been just fine.
I mean this as a sincere question: Is there any part of Africa currently under black rule that is thriving?

Not only that, but South Africa has its’ own problem with illegal immigrants, because to other Africans, South Africa, as bad of a condition as it may be in, is still light years ahead of most other African countries.

Funny thing is, and you'll never hear this repeated by those with an agenda to push, the part of Africa where the Dutch settled was largely empty or only inhabited by a small lighter skin tribe called the Khoi. I think they were nomadic. Then the Bantu, I believe, came though and killed most of them.
Now in South Africa, it is tens of millions pouring in from various tribes doing what tribes do.
And the Afrikaaners, mostly, sit in squatters camps, unable to work, build or create. Just trying to survive. It's criminal.
