"Catholics Will Have to Decide Whether They Guard the Faith Over Papolatry"
Gloria TV ^ | July 17, 2017 | Gloria TV

“Francis is more interested in leftwing politics than in Catholic theology”, George Neumayr, contributing editor of The American Spectator, states talking to Tom Woods on July 14th on tomwoods.com. Woods describes Francis as a result of John Paul II who - as he puts it - appointed "absolutely terrible people" as bishops: "Catholics have suffered under Bergoglios for decades now”.

Neumayr agrees that a lot of the liberal bishops were appointed by John Paul II and Benedict XVI. He sees Francis as the “culmination of a century” of liberalism and modernism in the Church.

For him it is "highly unlikely" that Francis, who in his theology is “more a Protestant than a Catholic” will convert to Catholicism. Instead, the realistic scenario is that Francis will produce division and chaos, "Catholics will have to decide whether they guard the faith over papolatry.”

And: “The Cardinals have to declare that Francis is a bad pope who must be resisted.”

Think! Is Moses in Heaven? Is Elijah in Heaven? Which level of Heaven? ...

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PURGATORY. It is a fictional construct designed to empower an ORG. The passage you posted speaks directly of the rewards seat of Christ, IN HEAVEN. A member of the Ekklesia is clothed in Christ's Righteousness. The great lie of Catholic Purgatory promotes the great lie that the Blood of Christ is not sufficient to cleanse from ALL unrighteousness. By accepting that lie and defending it you are blaspheming the Word and Promise of GOD.

Whatever you do, when millions and millions of Christians disappear in the Rapture moment, do not, repeat DO NOT then scoff at the event you have witnessed. Call upon The Lord to be your personal savior, immediately.

Chicory, Christ sent the original Apostles and told them what to teach to reach the world.

He noted, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

These men laid the foundation stones of the church and reached the known world.

This charge, the Great Commission, is in effect today for our church.

I note the Apostles are in glory, but the commission remains for every assembly of believers to reach every people group on earth. For this purpose God reveals in the epistles - through Peter and Paul - a list of gifts *to* the assemblies and these include pastors and teachers. They are gifted by the Holy Spirit to teach and teach under His authority.

Best.

I DID post the context.

Post 561

According to Jesus, only one sin will not be forgiven.

Mark 3:28-30 (NASB)

“Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter;

but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”

because they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.

Post 575 (Lurcin's response)
What IS blasphemy against the Holy Spirit?

I know the answer I would give, but I’m curious how others would respond.

Post 600
Looking at Mark 3:29, “... but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness ...”, “whoever” is clearly not a believer, for “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7, NASB)

PS: I've included Luircin as I am quoting him

It appears I this thoughtful post of yours that you are trying to make a case that private interpretations exist. On this we agree.

Perhaps I caused this confusion when I posted, “ not once. Not ever.”

What I meant was that God nowhere in Scripture ever prohibits a believer from interpreting Scripture when he or she reads it. This has been promolgated by those who do not read/understand the context of what is said in one passage. Unfortunately, the Roman wing of Christianity has used this sad lie to discourage and prevent people from feeding on the Word of God as they are commanded to do.

Best

Chicory, we've discussed and corrected the Roman on I Timothy 3:15 (and other passages) view here on FR so many times that I've begun to repaste previous discussions. This is no fault of yours. You can find many if you do a google search. In the meantime, I hope this helps. .....Snip..... "3:15. The clearly stated purpose of these instructions is to inform the Ephesian congregation how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household. "Again Paul used the analogy of the “household” (oikos) to refer to the church (ekklēsia; cf. v. 5). This merges into an architectural image involving the church as pillar and foundation of the truth. "The idea of the church as a “building” dedicated to the living God is a common one for Paul (cf. 1 Cor. 3:16–17; 2 Cor. 6:16; Eph. 2:20–22). "Some people teach that the church as the “foundation of the truth” is the source of God’s truth, that no one can know the truth unless he depends on the teaching of some organized church or church group. But Paul was simply affirming the crucial role of the universal church as the support and bulwark—not the source—of God’s truth. His words should not be stretched beyond this."

Yeah right. An invisible, disorganized, chaotic and scattered “church” led by men (all be they different men or women whatever the case may be) is somehow preferable?

No thanks. I’ll stick with the Fathers, Doctors and Saints of the visible One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Catholic Church founded by Jesus himself.

Local assemblies in fellowship with other theologically correct assemblies are indeed visible and not scattered. The Holy Spirit and the Savior do not leave us without guidance.

When an assembly goes astray, we cut it out like cancer.

In the Roman system, which was extracted from the Roman Empire’s structure and not Scripture, cancer is kept inside the assembly to spread.

I refer you to drug-fueled homosexual parties at the Vatican, cardinals and bishops of your hierarchy that support homosexuality, and pedaphile priests in seemingly every country who are supported, hidden and protected as they are shuffled into fertile fields of unsuspecting children. Even your hierarchical Pope (again not a NT church office) is a rogue leader.

In short, when the Empire system fails, but failures are coddled. In the Biblical system, disease is cut out to protect the assemblies.

“No thanks!” I’ll take the pattern of Scripture over a worldly system

Then you really should read all they wrote, on things like faith and works, which the FIRST Ekklesia Fathers wrote. Then dig into what later ‘church’ fathers wrote. Just regurgitating what recent Org leaders tell you believe is lazy and shows ‘not approved’.

Well, a careful reading of Acts 15 will show how the Apostles handled disputes in the early Church. Note that there was a dispute, and then a consideration, and then a resolution. The Apostles clearly believed there was ONE answer, not a multiplicity. Note too that the questions were not all about the momentous issues on which Catholics and Protestants still agree, such as the concept and elucidation of the Trinity, but on everyday issues such as whether Gentiles needed to become circumcised.

After that, any history which goes into detail about the Church’s actions will do. I hesitate to recommend one as I am mostly familiar with Catholic sources.

OK, I imagine that there is a Protestant explanation for how this reference to “Scripture,” which is written before some or all of the NT was written and certainly before it was compiled, covers the NT, but, to be honest, the discussions I am involved in here are multiplying, and my ability to explain (knowledge, time, etc.) is being strained, so this may be my last post on this subject. Please don’t take my limited abilities as evidence that the Church lacks explanatory force, simply that *I* am limited.

The promises attached to the brown scapular are not actually taught by the Church.

They're not??

We'll ignore the blasphemous teachings for now.

The Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel has promised to save those who wear the scapular from the fires of hell; She will also shorten their stay in purgatory if they should pass from this world still owing some debt of punishment.

This promise is found in a Bull of Pope John XXII. The Blessed Virgin appeared to him and, speaking of those who wear the Brown Scapular, said, “I, the Mother of Grace, shall descend on the Saturday after their death and whomsoever I shall find in purgatory I shall free so that I may lead them to the holy mountain of life everlasting.”

The Blessed Virgin assigned certain conditions which must be fulfilled:

Wear the Brown Scapular continuously.

Observe chastity according to one’s state in life (married/single).

Recite daily the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin OR Observe the fasts of the Church together with abstaining from meat on Wednesdays and Saturdays OR With permission of a priest, say five decades of Our Lady’s Most Holy Rosary OR With permission of a priest, substitute some other good work.

Pope Benedict XV, the celebrated World War I Pontiff, granted 500 days indulgence for devoutly kissing your scapular.

Pope Leo XIII: “The Carmelite Scapular’s nobility of origin, its extraordinary spread among Christian peoples for many centuries, the spiritualizing effects produced by it and the outstanding miracles worked in virtue of it render the Scapular of Carmel commendable to a wondrous degree.”

Pope Pius XI: “In consideration of the munificent goodness of the heavenly Mother towards her children, it surely ought to be sufficient merely to exhort those who belong to the Scapular Confraternity to persevere in the holy exercises which have been prescribed for the gaining of the indulgences to which they are entitled.”

Pope Pius XII: “All Carmelites, whether they live in the cloisters of the First or Second Orders or are members of the Third Order or of the Confraternities, belong to the same family of our Most Blessed Mother and are attached to it by a special bond of love. May they all see in this keepsake of the Virgin herself a mirror of humility and purity; may they read in the very simplicity of the Garment a concise lesson in modesty and simplicity; above all, may they behold in this same Garment, which they wear day and night, the eloquent expressive symbol of their prayers for divine assistance.”

Pope John XXIII: He spoke “of the Mother of God who is honored in this Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Devotion to her becomes a necessity; towards Our Lady of Mount Carmel we are drawn with a most tender, yet irresistible, attraction.”

Pope Paul VI, speaking of Marian devotions, especially of the Scapular, says “Let the faithful hold in high esteem the practices and devotions to the Blessed Virgin approved by the teaching authority of the Church. It is Our conviction that the Rosary of Mary and the Scapular of Carmel are among these recommended practices. The Scapular is a practice of piety, which by its very simplicity is suited to everyone.”

Catholics have never looked for the Blessed Mother's tomb; they know She was assumed, body and soul, into Heaven. We celebrate that Feast Day on August 15th.

Got a chapter and verse on that?

Or did they forget to put it in the Bible that y'all claim the Catholic church wrote?

So they added it later and invented *sacred tradition* for contingencies like this.

How convenient.......

It takes a priest in Confession to remit the effects of mortal sin, but Confession is not necessary to remit venial sin.

The blood of Jesus is somehow insufficient to cleanse from all sins??
