A ‘Christian’ wedding chapel—a private business—in Idaho is suing for the right not to marry gay couples. There is no such right. Yet.
The first thing you need to know is that most “wedding chapels” are not actually chapels. They are private businesses, sometimes run by ordained ministers who are thus licensed to perform marriage ceremonies, but just as often run by Elvis impersonators. Thus, the question of how marriage-equality laws apply to private wedding chapels is ostensibly a question of under what circumstances the government can lawfully step on a for-profit company’s blue suede shoes.
Ground zero for this debate is now Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. There, the city is apparently requiring the Hitching Post Lakeside Chapel to officiate gay weddings. Now, it’s hard to imagine any gay couple wanting to get married at the Hitching Post Lakeside Chapel. Their website talks about “the difference between men and women” and says “women respond to love positively because they were created that way” and “men respond to respect because that is the way they are created.”
Yeah. And the private “chapel” reportedly gives its newlyweds a conservative Christian CD with hetero-reinforcing marriage sermons. Then again, given the über-butch Paul Bunyan log-cabin façade, if some gay men mistook the Hitching Post Lakeside Chapel for a for a Western bar, that would be understandable....

I don’t care if queers marry steers, but not at my house, and it is discrimination based upon my beliefs and cultural intelligence. Discrimination for the sake of truth is a virtue.
King Henry VIII created the Church of England, an “establishment of religion” to force conformity to his liberal view of sex and marriage. Henry VIII wanted easy divorce and remarriage so he could father a male child .....
this led to decades of strife in the UK with dissenters coming to our shores and giving us a Constitution with a First Amendment guaranteeing freedom of religion.
Now there is a movement trying to force its liberal view of sex and marriage on religion just like old Henry VIII did......OMG.......

Religious Freedom = Discrimination

If you read my post #8 you know where I stand, but I do see the LGBT people as folks who have been hurt and don’t need to be treated with anger or disrespect.
It is utterly wrong for them to try to impose their liberal view of sexuality on this nation and its religions, but I do not want to impose my views on them either.

The LGBT Movement that pushes gay marriage demonizes its opponents and has forced them out of businesses like Brendan Eich in the tech industry and jobs in cases of people who oppose them.
This is equivalent to treatment that Jews got in 1933 Germany before things got worse.

Any resentment or fear I entertain is an entrée to a downward slide in my life.
But the LGBT folks are living in their fear and resentment, their drunkenness and insanity just like the brownshirted folks who marched around Germany back in the early 1930’s and their life stories are so much like mine.....
They are my brothers and sisters who have fallen like me and I have to show them love and tolerance hoping they will show it to the religious people they now want to extract revenge from.
But I cannot or will not be silent towards the LGBT fascists like Pastor Niemoller in Germany was towards the Nazis.
The movement for gay marriage in this country is moving us in a totalitarian direction if not in the direction of civil strife and conflict.
It is like the days of King Henry VIII and the early days of Hitler as I noted in my earlier posts....
