King Henry VIII created the Church of England, an “establishment of religion” to force conformity to his liberal view of sex and marriage. Henry VIII wanted easy divorce and remarriage so he could father a male child .....
this led to decades of strife in the UK with dissenters coming to our shores and giving us a Constitution with a First Amendment guaranteeing freedom of religion.

Now there is a movement trying to force its liberal view of sex and marriage on religion just like old Henry VIII did......OMG.......

“King Henry VIII created the Church of England, an “establishment of religion” to force conformity to his liberal view of sex and marriage.”

Not really. The reformation was a movement by God, in the people, happening all over the Countries of the West.

1. The people largely aligned with the reformation. Wycliffe and Lollardy were over a hundred years old. Wycliffe inspired John Huss, who inspired Luther. Luther’s books were studied in England at least by 1521.William Tyndale’s English New Testament was in England by April of 1526.
2. The monasteries and the church in England were quite corrupt and consuming the wealth of the nation. In 1525 Cromwell helped suppress 29 monasteries, two years before Henry is sure he want to divorce Catherine.
3. Control. Spain and the relationship to the pope was problematic
4. Protestant reformation was supported by Thomas Cromwell Henry’s key advisor, and some bishops like Hugh Latimer

But surely the militant sodomites and the anti-Christ are trying to push immorality on us.
